Update Nov. 2018: After another 2 years of use, a short developed in the plug-in part of the cord leading to the LEDs. I emailed the seller who replied right away and sent a replacement (replacements are easily installed with the newer screw-on design). Still highly recommended, and the newer "round" design LED strip also seems to be holding up well in the sun.Original review: I bought this item direct from CBConcept about 3 years ago and now bought another roll of 100 feet. The plug-in has been upgraded to include a built-in fuse, good idea, and the connector between the voltage adapter and the actual LED strip has also been redesigned as well, to "screw on" rather than "push on" which seems more durable. Quite bright, you can see it from a mile away easily. At that distance it appears as a strip of continuous light. The only negatives I can think of include a bit of a bad plastic smell (not PVC, but another, less-offensive plasticky odor) coming off of it (consider if you will be using indoors or in a small space) and also the strip we've had installed outside for 3 years has started to yellow/brown and/or harden (it's brittle in some places but still functions) due to sunlight exposure, so these are not UV-proof. I don't know of a plastic that truly is able to resist the sun's rays for years however.

I have not tried dimming these. I probably should, as they're crazy bright, but I was looking for something to light a nice path to the house through my dense forest of ornamental trees. This works like a charm, and wound up throwing so much light, it lights up the house, the giant oaks next to the house, and probably low-flying aircraft. I got the 4000k lights, and the colour is a good, solid white (not yellowish or bluish). The strips are easy to work with as long as you don't use the supplied mounts. The mount clips that come with the strips are kind of chintzy, thin plastic. They might be good for indoor mounting, but the screws are too small for drywall, and they're certainly too small for any rough handling outdoors. I just bought standard cable clips and used a mixture of those, cable ties, and irrigation stakes outdoors. The lights are basically thin strips of LEDs mounted in a clear plastic housing. The housing is rectangular, which makes corners a little tricky, but not too bad. The lights face one direction, and are as bright as individual little flashlights, so they will throw a massive amount of light in whatever direction they're facing. I would recommend not staring at them.

As we wrapped our tree, we realized this is bright as the sun… so we’ve recently rearranged it so it covers less close together. Heavy durable construction, we will see how it holds up.

I used these in my basement where the ceiling was too low to install canned lights. I ordered the cool white which is insanely bright. I love these lights and would order them any time I need an LED rope.The plug also has an in-line fuse, so you have less of a chance of burning your house down in the event of a power surge.

I ordered a total of 8 sets - 100ft/set, 6 sets on first order and 2 sets on the second order. On the first 6 sets, one of them was blinking like X'mas lights so I did send a complain. My electrician did switch the power cord from the other sets and still doing the same thing. I did a follow up complain but never got a respond. Nevertheless, I made another order to finish my almost 800ft of LED light project but I will never recommend this strip lights for $90 a set to anybody.

First know that this product can not be shortened or cut. It also has a flat back which makes it difficult to make 90 degree turns. The color is not warm. It can be dimmed but becomes more Blue/Grey in color.Not what I was hoping to purchase.

The light rope lights up the area wonderfully. Great quality of the product and easy to install. Makes such a big difference in the backyard.

We use this as a mood lighting for our Great room with open ceilings. It does the job and the brightness is exactly what we were hoping to have.
