LOVE THIS STUFF!
Aqua-Flo 12" Pond & Aquarium Filter Media, 72" (6 Feet) Long x 1" Thick (Pink/White). I will never buy premade filter cartridges for any of my many HOB filters again. Filter maintenance doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. Depending on the size/shape of the filter pump's interior, I cut a piece roughly the size of the existing filter (sometimes a bit larger for stability), toss the old one, shove this one in there, and off we go. Sometimes I double the pad over for the guppies, since they are plentiful and messy. I don't even measure. I cram enough bio media in there that I don't have to glue this padding to the old filter pad's plastic, either -- the media and the chassis of the filter pump keep the pads I cut from this upright enough by themselves. The only trick is to make sure all of the incoming water hits the white side of the pad. And as cheap as it is, I don't have to try to stretch every pad to its max. If it's gross, I toss it. If any fish are sick, I toss it. If it looks at me funny, I toss it. I don't even need carbon to keep the water crystal clear with this stuff, which is great because now I don't have to remember to remove the carbon when I medicate my fish. I have 17 fish tanks, half of which have multiple HOB filters, and every single one is crystal clear thanks to regular tank maintenance and this filter padding.

I’m sold! My third purchase in two years!
I use this for my 4x8x2 pond. I cut the pieces to size then store them in my pond shed. It took two summers to use one roll. I clean my filters once daily. The filter does gets thinned out and stretches from rinsing with a hose but I just trim them shorter, then use the excess to double them which equals the original piece. I hope I explained that well enough! The felt is great at catching the fine dirt. My pond is always clean thanks to this inexpensive product!

Saves me money!!
I love using this pinky filter in replacement of the carbon filters! It works just about the same, just without the carbon.I use the Marineland Penguin 200 filter & I buy my carbon filters for ~$4 for 6 filters. Instead of making that hefty purchase now, I've bought a container of carbon pieces and I just hang it in my fishnet on the corner of my tank when the waters looking foggy, using the pinky filter to catch all the little debris.Great buy and money saver!

good filter pad
I really like this filter pad on my 150 reef tank. It is a fine mesh than the regular blue we are use to, ready, but if you are having an algea bloom like me it clog quickly. Not a problem with the pad per say. I recommend it on a system running well but may want to stay with cheaper stuff if having a lot of algea or very dirty water. Over all it works great just wish more for the money.

Added benefit
Adding this product to my filter in addition to the existing cartridges has helped immensely. Some people have recommended just rinsing and replacing, but for the price, I just throw it away. Easy to use.

fully satisfied with this pre-filter
i have a custom made filter for a 75 gallons paludarium wit a water bank of about 35 gallos, and 3 sliders that really pollute the water, i have to change it evry 3 days but i wan wash it and re use it, i have washed one pice about 5 times and it continues to do the work with no signs of wear and tear.

Good for aquarium filters.
This will easily cut to size for your canaster or hang on back filter. I do not have a pond, but I suppose it would work well there also.

Great thickness
Amazing value and thickness. Doesn’t break down easily like some filter floss media
