Setup was easy following the directions. Details about the menu items in the web GUI are missing. Most options are obvious but a few are not. Main reason I gave it 4 stars is the blinking green light. Large green LED strip blinks on and off whenever it is operating. Very distracting so I put some electrical tape over the light.In terms of startup time I found no difference between this and the hardwired connection. On my phone (iphone 8) it was plenty zippy.Unfortunate they didn't just build this into a wireless charging pad. Then you'd have a complete solution with one cord.11/28/21 Update: After about a month it started to get really inconsistent. Did a reset multiple times, did a "forget" on the bluetooth and wifi connections, nothing helped. After each reset it would work for a bit but then locks up again. Nothing changed on the phone other than usual app updates/etc. Running an iphone13 pro / ios 15.1.1.

So far so good. Connects quickly and sound quality seems very good. I connected the unit per instructions through bluetooth, but it then stays connected through wifi because the bluetooth on my phone shows not connected while it is working. I believe the wifi system makes the connection faster and sound better, glad I finally purchased this. I have it connected to my USB2 within my console and there is no interference I can notice.

This is the latest CarPlay adapter I tried on my 2019 Buick Enclave and it worked perfectly well. Pairing was easy and it boots up in less than 30 seconds, in about half the time it took for the Ottocast I have been using for some months. Ottocast worked OK but it would give hardware error about half the time when I start the car. I get around this by unplugging it and re-plugging, but it was a nuisance. Firmware update also did not help. Loadkey appears to be a newer version of Carlinkit because the package had a small card providing support information from Carlinkit. I had previously unsuccessfully tried Carlinkit 2.0 on this car. It would pair with the phone but the car display remained blank. I recently also tried Ototto. This one paired easily and the display worked well at first. Then I noticed that it predictably disconnects in about three minutes. After a few tries, I had to return it. Since this one worked on a Buick, I would expect it will work on other GM cars with wired CarPlay.

Had issue with siri working, got the new online update, and it works fine.So far so good, it does the job for wireless apple car play with my sony unit.I gave them 5 stars, and I know its a little early( have unit in system for 30 days), but I will stay with that, unless I have to update the review down the road.

Works 95% of the time. But cuts out at random times for whatever reason, and sometimes there is a few seconds delay between what is on the phone and what is on the carplay screen. If I was just going to and from work it wouldnt be a big deal. But doing rideshare I can't have the screen freezing right before I am supposed to get off the freeway to drop off a passenger, or my navigation being 100 yards behind where my car is.

This product is difficult to set up and a pain to live with. It connects over Wi-Fi after the initial setup and makes your phone default to it so you can’t connect to your home Wi-Fi. If you move over to your home Wi-Fi then I had to repair it every time I went back to my car by going through the whole setup from scratch

First time connecting works. It’s when you shut of your car and then comeback it sometimes can’t connect. Either can’t connect or screen is black. A code for software help doesn’t work. Can’t see if there’s any update. I would not buy this again.

My device has a second of delay.Everytime I turn on my car it takes time to reconnect, sometimes it does automatically, some other timesit is required to disconnect it and reconnect it to the usb slot.Music Volume is great, no problem with that.Its an alternative to avoid having to care of a cable inside your car and saving your phone's battery, but its not perfect or fast, besides of the delay atm its working fine.
