Princeton Aqua Elite 4850 Striper brush for watercolors
I love this brush by Princeton. I've been experimenting with different brush shapes, not just round, and this one is Amazing because: 1. it holds just the right amount of water and pigment 2. you can make wither very thin or thick lines with it (see photo) and 3. it holds and maintains the point perfectly. If you turn it around to the flat side, you can make even more leaf shaped marks, heart shapes, and it's great for S and C curves when painting crocus flowers, for example. Here is a photo showing how the 4850 striper brush compares to the Princeton Select in size. They are both good brushes and with the two sizes, I can really increase the types of mark making I can create, so these are also great for mixed media and layered watercolors. I use this 4850 brush also with watercolor pencils to make perfect watercolor splashes.

Love my new Princeton Dagger brush
I've started using my new dagger brush more often in my paintings. It's so versatile and my Princeton performs perfectly.

Versatile brush!
I really like this brush because it's very flexible but the tip holds really well and can give you precise lines when you want it.

Great, fun brush for watercolor botanicals; poor packaging from vendor
Fun brush for painting watercolor botanicals. Vendor send brushes loose in the shipping box, and the plastic bristle guards had slipped down on both brushes in my order, warping them slightly, but not so much so that they were unusable. Recommend vendor using better shipping practices.

Not quite
This is an okay brush, not the quality or usefulness I was expecting from Princeton. It has a super lightweight handle, making it very tip-heavy and unbalanced when painting. It does hold lots of water/paint but seems to release it erratically. Perhaps after using it for a few more weeks I’ll be more impressed; perhaps not. For the money, I’d rather have an Escoda or Rosemary & Co brush.
