If you can get through this book and do not believe the military industrial complex is killing us
then you must not have read the book. footnotes don't count.this is well researched, the writer has done his homework, has amassed a lot of facts and gone down many trails. This book is a must read for the average citizen to understand just what her/his country is doing with their tax paying dollars and how war is the order of the day. Every day.

The dastardly deals of the arms manufecturesat the expense of society .
Well written. Extremely interesting. The connection between governments, arms manufactures, and various middle men is brought to light which reveals the criminality of their actions. All three partners are looking to make money regardless of who is killing whom. Most disturbing is that some of the most western and democratic governments are part arms deals that are unnecessary, at the expense of taxpayers , an at times end upwith weapons delivered to their worst enemies. Money and profit is above all!.

Astonishing account of moral decay
Just got done with the book and I simply can't comprehend the extent of corruption related to this trade. It is amazing that despite the trove of evidence cited in the book and how brazen and complete the violations are, nothing meaningful has been done to-date to stop these crimes. It's mind boggling to read about the radar equipment sold to Tanzanian air force that has 8 planes at cost equivalent to the amount spent on health or how South Africa is paying for planes it didn't want or need in the first place. After Daniel Yergin's book on Oil, this is one of the most comprehensively researched book that I've read. Amazing job by the Author who am sure is risking a lot by exposing these corrupt regimes and corporations around the world. Great job and I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in reading about this truly shadowy world of Global Arms Trade. Simply amazing book and yet another example of the power of corruption.m

Deeply Depressing
To start off, this book is highly fascinating. If you've managed to look this far towards reading it, you definitely should. However, the nature of the details of this book are deeply disturbing. It is INCREDIBLY well researched.... My hat is off to you, Mr. Feinstein. Excellent work, it's nice to see someone fighting to make a good and decent impact in the world.

be careful
This book is very informative and interesting. However, it reads more like an case file for the FBI internal then it does for an interested but casual reader. If you are absolutely fascinated abut global arms trading, then pick it up. if not, buy it used and skim it if you are just interested in the general knowledge.

This book is so important and should be read by anyone with a desire to understand the industry of war and destabilization. The amount of corruption and greed exposed in this book, and the complete disregard for the lives put at risk around the globe, is shocking.

Enlightening, but monotonous after the 3rd deal
A very well written, and we'll researched book, but I feel that it could have been shorter if not every arms trade had been covered. Every deal follows the same formula. I would have preferred a review of some of the larger ones and a more in depth covering of the politicians and institutions that make such deals possible, and who make consequences negligible.

scary if true and it seems true
who controls america? runs the world?one influential force is the weapons industry.scare-mongering creates demand, perceived safety fills the demand.a formula that works.it is all about money, after all, and is anyone so naive to think it wouldn't be so.it was a very well researched, eye-opening book for me.
