Goodbye Check Engine Light
If your check engine light is on on your Kia Soul, and the code is P0456, do this simple replacement before anything else and disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes. Connect again and voila!

Save time and money buy the cap assembly
This is a good price for this item, and it fit well. However, I didn't realize that the actual gas cap mechanism could wear out and go bad. Had a p0451 evap code on my 2007 kia optima, this didn't resolve it. Bought a new evap gas cap from O'Reilly and the code hasn't come back. Save yourself time and just buy the entire cap assembly. Trust me, then you can rule it out if the code comes back and keep trouble shooting. The cap fixed my issue, though.
