Marvel Fearless and Fantastic! Female Super Heroes Save the World

Even better than expected.
This is a wonderfully gender positive book but not in an over the top way that so many ‘for girls’ stuff is at the moment. One of my daughters (I bought it as a shared gift for all of them) read it from cover to cover straight after finishing opening her parents and before playing with anything else.

A great purchase!
Got 'Powers of a girl' last month and it felt a bit incomplete as there are no X-Men characters. This book fulfills the dream, a nice overview of every female character you ever wanted along a beautiful artwork and a bunch of familiar faces.A great piece for my bookcase!

This is a Children's Book!!!
I expected more from this book, it's a book for children but was not advertised that way.

It's Imformative.
It's informative, but there is no story, and the characters synopsis' read like book reports.

Such an important and empowering book for young girls who love the Marvel universe.
I could actually get emotional over what an impact this book has had in both myself and my daughter. I loved comic characters (both reading and cartoons/films) from a young age but was told by peers that girls were not allowed to like that stuff, it was for boys and that the best characters were always boys and girls just get 'fridged' for the heros development. Fast forward a couple of decades and I'm a fan of the Marvel Cinematic universe, but disappointed in how secondary the female representation has been up to Captain Marvel, especially since my young daughter loves these films too and is hugely in awe of Black Widow, Shuri and Scarlet Witch but I had hope when I saw this book.My daughter pored over this book in awe, squealing when she would find a hero she recognised and calling for my attention when she found one she couldn't have imagined from her experience of the films such as a female Thor, a teen BAME IronHeart and her favourite find Squirrel Girl!Looking through this book myself I was delighted, moved and empowered to see such a range and scope of female awesomeness some I was aware of, others I was not and such a beautiful representation of femininity of so many colours, cultures, shapes, ages, religion, sexuality and sizes celebrated for being amazing, young women alongside young tweens, older women, teenagers even mothers and adoptive mothers. Furthermore their greatness is not simply defined by their superpowers, indeed several have none, but by the content of their character, determined, compassionate, curious and daring, truly both a mirror and a window of experience is there for most if not all young girls and women who would peruse this book which makes it SO important and SO empowering for all girls, and not so young girls too.Buy this book for the females in your life, show them there is more to superheroes than the same guys, show them that there is a superhero or three for every one of us.
