Intelligent Fitness: The Smart Way to Reboot Your Body and Get in Shape (with a foreword by Daniel Craig)

It’s a guide to help you make good decisions.
So, after a long wait it finally came. I have been following the book and assimilating the information. It offers a view on training which differs to the traditional ground and pound. The content isn’t easy (well as easy as you wish it to be I suppose) but is structured and descriptive to a point. You need to have a bit of knowledge or history in training your body. The reason I say this, is if you tailor the program to suit your own needs, then you would be installing your own activities into the schedule.I can confirm after over 6 years dormant, these sessions can be completed in under 30 mins with a rep rage of 15 to 10. So it will fit into your day easily. The guy is clearly a legend, so I am following the theory and the dietary info. You can complete this with little to no equipment, but there is a suggestion of what you may need. All in all I am happy. It’s a good read also and delivered well.

Good book: not for absolute beginners
Very different to most fitness books I’ve used in the past as there’s very little in the way of organised programmes to follow. Simply put, the advice is to build a programme based around your goals, generally using Simon’s 5:2 idea, but not always. You adapt the programme as you go, varying daily / weekly / monthly effort based on your motivation and feelings on the day.Personally, I’m finding it really free-ing to focus on what I want to achieve from my training, instead of feeling a failure when I don’t follow precisely what another person I’ve never met suggests. This has meant I have to be mindful of my daily programme, adding or reducing load based on my physical and mental state. It also means I can always achieve what I set out to do, whilst working towards longer or shorter goals.Another reviewer has mentioned a lack of nutrition planning or advice - again, like the programming, I agree it’s not for beginners but the simple advice of ‘eat more whole foods’, don’t be too hard on yourself and modify your eating according to long-term goals seems to be make sense to me.However, deffo not for real beginners, but free-ing and inspiring if you’ve been around the fitness block a few times.

Excellent book on several levels
This is health and fitness book that works really well at several levels. Firstly, it’s a fascinating insight into the world of film and what actors do to achieve their screen personas. The book is full of interesting anecdotes, some of which are great standalone stories, others provide the individual with useful information that they can take into their own health and fitness journeys.Secondly, there is a lot of really useful general health and fitness tips and information as well as specific training programs that can be utilised by anyone. It’s obvious that Simon Waterson has managed to stay current in the film industry for so long because he knows what’s he’s doing.I’d highly recommend this book to anyone interested in either the film industry, health and fitness or both.

Ok.
Bought this as I had already read some of Simons previous books and found them useful. However nothing new in this book. If you don’t already own any of his training books it’s a decent purchase. If you do I would save your money.

Practical, easy to understand and utterly inspiring content - you need to get this book!
I read this book cover to cover and already know that I'll want to read it many times more. The content is useful, easy to understand and really encouraging. Simon doesn't gloss over the fact that to achieve high level fitness and body/mind wellbeing takes hard work and dedication, which is precisely why I love his ethic and the content in this book. It's a must read for anyone who wants to feel stronger in their body and more aware of the connection between how you move your body, what you eat and how you feel.

Exercise
Disappointed. Bought the commando workout book years ago by the same author which is an excellent book and would happily give five stars. But this is not the greatest on content has more of an author namedropping his clients feel to it.

Real basics
I think this is a great read if you want to get a bit of an inside scoop on A listers attitudes to training and a nice incentive to have a few of there circuits to have a go at, but its all very simple obvious tips and advice, aesthetic is a by product of hardwork etc, but if your a level above beginner you wont really take much from this book.

I want to be buff like Daniel Craig
The title says it all, but at 73 I might be overreaching a bit. That said I’m giving it a try!!

Bof
Un peu déçu. On y trouve surtout des photos de stars et une histoire sur la relation entre l'auteur et ces acteurs. Un peu d'ego, peu d'info vraiment intéressante et surout peu ou pas df description précise de la m'a iere de réaliser les exercices.

If you search a training guide or you just love behind the scenes of movies!
4½It ended up being so much more interesting than I thought since this wasn't just a guide, but he also gave us some behind-the-scenes on the movies he worked on. My fav was when the director of the 1° Captain America showed him some models to make him understand how he wanted Chris Evans' abs to look like lolHowever, speaking of the workout, I wish he had included more that didn't necessarily involve gymnastics equipment. Other than that, it was really helpful!

Para principiantes.
Buen libro para empezar, tiene varias rutinas basadas en los entrenamientos de actores famosos, pero algo básico si ya llevas tiempo entrenando.
