It’s a functional ceramic piggy bank. It looks good as you’re taking it out of the box. Then you realize that EVERYTHING is now covered in glitter. The slightest touch causes “magic dust” to fall everywhere. Only gift this to a friend with young children if YOU DON’T LIKE THEM!!!! I ended up painting Mod Podge on it and kept the glitter in place. But seriously, the manufacturer clearly missed a step in the process.

As others have said, it gets glitter EVERYWHERE immediately; I’m gonna try painting over the glittery parts with a clear gloss paint to try to seal it so it doesn’t keep shedding glitter like crazy. It feels pretty sturdy but it is ceramic and could break, especially in a small child’s care. My almost 5-year-old LOVES it though. In her words, “it’s very beautiful and shiny and smooth and I can put my money in it. And it’s pink and purple and those are 2 of my favorite colors. I like it’s eyes shut because it looks pretty like it’s sleeping and I like it’s horn.”Update: I let my daughter paint the glittery sections with mod podge. It worked perfectly, now the glitter doesn’t fall off anymore!

SO MUCH GLITTER. BEWARE.When I unboxed it I had to take it outside and try to brush off the excess glitter with a dustpan broom and then I had to vacuum up all of the glitter off my front porch. I think I still left a trail of glitter in my wake as I carried it gently up to my daughters room 🙄

this is very cute but extremely small! It was made cheaply as there was glitter all over the place when I took it out of the box! Hardly anything fits in it.
