Locks my motor down
Works well. If someone really wanted to derfeat it I am sure they could, but a great deterent to the lay thief.

Security for your trolling motor
This is perfect for locking an ELECTRIC TROLLING motor on your boat...why people think it is for outboards, it is NOT! It fits my Minnkota 34lb motor PERFECTLY...I feel good knowing my motor can't be stolen now! Great product!

Safe and Sound
This fit on my Haswing Aquos 60 lb trolling motor once I got the handles aligned properly. It's very heavy gauge and I highly doubt anyone could compromise this without a lot of time or special tools. I feel much better with this than a cable or a padlock through the handles.

Could Be Great... But Just OK.
If this was a 1/2" wider it would fit far more outboards. I own three outboards, intending to use this lock on a 5hp Honda 4 stroke (2021). Out of the package it did not fit. I had to modify the handles on the outboard to clear the lock mechanism in order to get this to close and lock. My other two outboards would have needed modification as well (Honda 9.9 and Yamaha 15).Aside from that, the key gets stuck in the lock about every other time it's inserted and the dust/water cover is far too loose to be effective, popping off with minor vibration.The lock itself is sturdy, well built. Giving a bit more internal room would result in far more compatability. A better lock would make this 5 stars.

Although the item was described as used it appears to be new and functions perfectly!

Good protector !
Great product. Easy to use. I read another review that said after a year there was rust. So I sprayed a "clear" for 2 coats. There are 2 keys, it is always useful. It will never prevent the possibility of a theft but they will have to work a little!

Only for trolling motors does not fit gas motors
It says it fits outboard moters under20hp but does not fit my mercury four stroke 2 1/2 hp motor😡
