Seriously impressed- I've owned many different subs, and these deliver!
I'm a reformed brand snob when it come to audio equipment. I have a recording studio in my house along with a pretty elaborate home theater system, a separate and elaborate gaming system, a 2 channel system just for music and a PA system that I use for parties. Playing in a band for many years exposed me to a lot of different equipment as well, so I think I have a good feel for what works and what doesn't.These speakers don't just deliver "for the price" but they actually just deliver. If you paint over the labels on the dust caps, nobody will know what they are- they'll just know they sound good. I'm still in a little disbelief that these work so well for so cheap.I had two of those super cheap $129 18" Rockville subs for our basement system the kids use to have "dance parties" with their other little kid friends. Those subs were ok, but for the money they were a great deal. They are so much lighter than my JBL amplified 18" that I can take my system places for parties etc. I'm driving them with a crest audio 3.0DSP amp which is pretty powerful and clean. Before blowing up my cheap subs by driving them too hard, I read about these speakers- and the power handling was much more in line with what I was using. Swapped these into those old cheap (but light) cabinet and... wow! Super punchy with great extension down low. I listen to a wide range of music, but the best way to see if a sub is up to it is running some funk, jazz etc through them. These sound better than my JBL 618S's... and not just a little better. They can play bass heavy modern dance stuff or pull off very musical material as well.Even considering what I paid for those cabinets, two of these w/cabinets comes in at about half the price of just one powered JBL sub. One on one against the JBL, hate to say it- the JBL falls flat. I'm simply amazed at these. If you plan to use these in the RBG1184 cabinet, remove the plastic tubes for the ports to avoid port noise. Wish I did this a while ago. The only people I know of who didn't have great results with these- it was probably user error... If someone is blowing one (or more) of these up, they're probably clueless how to use audio equipment. Feed these things REAL power from a quality source and they'll rattle your internal organs.

Home theater and audiophile enthusiast
Wow! Got myself two of these 8 ohms (4 ohm since I'm sharing into a single 500 watt dayton subwoofer amp. I built the boxes 4.5 cubic feet net SEALED with adequate bracing. The amp gain only has to be 1/4 way up, NO MORE. Use the DSP in your receiver to help balance out what needs to be. Wow! I got these to sound great with music as well as home theater! And yes! Plenty of push and vibration all the way down to 20hz! KID YOU NOT! This is because of their size and I have two of them. I went with sealed because I want the response to be quicker to make up for their cheapness and size, and it worked out nice! Best part too if one ever damages I wouldn't mind slapping $100 down for another, easy replacement!I've played with many SVS models, and I went DIY and hearing the results I don't feel like I'm missing much. Again, 100 bucks a pop!

More punchy bass and can take the beating with more watts
After replacing my 30-year-old Fisher woofer which tends to be distorted when crank up, this 'Rockville' Fisher and $85 Gemini 15" speaker (just bought yesterday) can pump more punchy bass while Stageworks monitor provides mid and high frequencies. When compared to Gemini directly at the same volume and without Stageworks monitor, Rockville produces about the same tight bass and loudness, even though the Rockville is rated at 103dB in sensitivity and Gemini might be like 96dB or lower (they don't state it in the manual). The cheap-made 175 rated-watt Gemini tends to be distorted faster than Rockville when crank up. Although Rockville is rated at 750 watts, I don't think it could handle that. It might be like 350-400 watts. This is played through a Sony 1995-model receiver (rated @ 120 watts/channel @ 8 Ohms, 260 watts at 4 Ohms). Anyways, now I can feel the bass when before I could only hear it. That is for home Karaoke with three 15-inch speakers and 1 bookshelf speaker as tweeter. When all crank up, it produces an average of 105 dB (at 3 ft from speaker) before it is distorted due to a weak amp...

Five Stars
They work well. Cant be beat for the price. Also, upon googling these speakers, i came across some DJ forums where members were asking if anyone had heard of these, followed by abundant nay saying by "brand name" guys automatically downing these as "no name" brand speakers. Well at the price, any half successful dj conducting venues should be able to painlessly afford to try these. I must say, I am VERY pleased at the performance of these drivers.Included were all necessary specs,(see pic) in case you would want to design your own enclosures. Anyone can drop names of brands that cost an arm and a leg, but let the product do the talking. I think these deserve a look by anyone interested in 18 inch high power handling drivers.

Yes, these are Bass Monsters
I bought a really cheap pair of Jensen 3-way 15" speakers about 20 years ago. Somewhere along the way, long ago, I replaced the 15" drivers with equivalent Jensen parts when they both blew. Recently I decided I wasn't satisfied with the sound, particularly on the low end, so I replaced both 15" with these. Wow. I wish I had done this YEARS ago. These things are MONSTERS. Awesome, clean, heavy bass. These are putting out crystal sound at 10 where the previous drivers would have cracked up at 5. Super happy. My getting-drunk-after-work loud music episodes are much more cathartic now. I did adjust some amp settings to tone down the bass a bit because it was overwhelming at first, but that very well could have been because the previous drivers were lacking. The original mid- and treble- drivers are still going strong and meld just fine with these upgrades.

Not what I expected
Not satisfied with the bass output. I purchased two of these to replace the original speakers which blew out unexpectedly. Not impressed with the output. The bass seems weaker than the prior speakers but they work and haven't peaked on me yet.

Great Product and Excellent Price
Replaced this on my Electro Voice ETX-18SP Subwoofer. It sounds better and hit harder. Great Product and Excellent Price. Will Buy Again

Great, especially for the price
I can shake my doors at 19 hz. Even with the box it came in and a cheap 100 watt amplifier. Can't wait to get another and two of the rockville rpa9 amplifiers. Also building a custom box soon. This sub is great so far. Quite impressed
