This is a wonderful product as a reminder for friends going through a difficult time

For Christmas this year I wanted to buy the ladies in my life a meaningful spiritual gift and I came across a product called the Clinging Cross here on Amazon. It looked really nice but after reading the reviews I learned that it is made of plastic and then painted to only look like real wood. At first this didn't bother me but the more I read I learned that the paint wore off after a lot of use, showing the plastic mold, and that is not exactly the look I was going for. So I decided to do some more searching and I eventually came across this gem! It did not relate to my first search because it is called a Healing Cross and that is the only negative thing I can say about it. I love the name of the Clinging Cross and I wish this was called the same, but really that is unimportant.I am here to say that this Healing Cross is half the price of the plastic Clinging Cross and is certainly more special, especially if it is a truthful claim that these are hand made in the Holy Land. It truly does fit in your hand nicely and it is a pleasure to cling to. I feel like it is the protestant version of rosary beads.If you are buying this as a gift you should definitely go ahead and buy one for yourself because I promise you are going to want to keep it! All of the ladies I bought this for absolutely adored it.God bless!

I have previously used one of the bulkier Clinging Crosses and while they are OK, I found them a bit too thick and heavy for real clutching comfort.I love this cross, it is light (being made of real wood vs. the synthetic composition of most other similar crosses on the market) and at least half the thickness and weight of other models. I keep it in my pocket and clutch it when undergoing cancer treatments or praying at night.To make my cross even more comfortable, I used my Dremel sanding drum to fine tune the pressure points on the cross in a few places. This is easy to do with any similar tool and allows you to get a really comfortable grip/fit. I also love that it is made in the Holy Land from olive wood.So glad I found this product. I have ordered several for friends already!

These healing crosses are a great alternative to a traditional cross. They fit comfortably in the palm and are easy to wrap the fingers around and through. This particular cross came with a prayer and some literature regarding their origin. These are made of 100% Olive wood, which is native to Israel and its surrounding countries. Great for older people whose hands don't always want to close all the way, or anyone who wants to know the energy of the cross. I purchased 2 of these, one for my father and one for my mother, who went on a trip to Israel in Feb. They both use them frequently, in church and at home during their bible studies. They will develop a patina from use and look to be very sturdy.

The five star rating I'm sharing is based on the comments of my cousin who is having an extremely difficult time dealing with the passing of his wife of 48 years. .When I saw the olive wood Healing Cross, it seemed like the perfect spiritual symbol to comfort him especially on his daily trips to her resting place. Each night he places the Healing Cross on his wife's pillow and feels at peace with its presence, That touché my heart. It is good to know that my cousin is pleased with my gift and that the lives of people in the Holy Land benefit from making the crosses.

I like the fact that it's real wood from the Holy Land. My daughter was really impressed with that, as it was her Easter gift. Two things I didn't care for were: 1) It was smaller than I thought. It did fit in my hand, but I thought it would be bigger and a "better fit." 2) It has wording debased on it, and I would like it better if it were plain. All in all, I like it.

Very lovely piece and the accompanying Scriptures are great.
