Schleichbayala Animal Figurine, Unicorn Toys for Girls and Boys 5-12 years old, Pegasus

Right, I am going to come clean, this was for a seven year old grandson, a boy who loves unicorns. There it's said. This well made model is not pink, although she does sport a glittery hoof print decoration on her side.'Basically', as all the children seem to say, this is Unisex. Not girly just - well a Unicorn in full fig, rainbow tints to the lavish mane and tail, pretty gold hooves, a superb golden horn. He loves it and I was pleased because we have purchased many Schleich models over the years, and they all look as good as the day we bought them.

Although this beautiful unicorn did sink into the birthday cake and had to have icing piles put under each leg to keep it stood up, as a cake topper to a unicorn cake it really couldn't have been better. (Had it been a fruit cake rather than sponge the unicorn would have stood up). The unicorn itself was absolutely lovely and my granddaughter took it to bed with her ~ she's 4. It was a treat to look at and really beautiful. Thoroughly recommended and 5*+ you won't be disappointed if you buy one!

I was going to make an acylic box to place it in with some ivory faux roses and tiny led lights, however the true measurements of the actual figure came up much smaller. I assume that the measurements on the listing refer to the packaging!But Pegasus is still nicely made so I have put her on top of a white led lamp. (I may add that photo to the others, later).I recommend for adults as well as older children.~ This review was written by someone who enjoys making things and who likes finding the magic in everyday life ~

I like Schleich products, they are very detailed and long lasting, the kind of toy you can pass on to other children and are great for old fashioned imaginative play. I can see why people collect them. Collected quite a few horses and farm animals for our grandaughter. We've bought her a castle for christmas and starting to collected dragons, people and other bits to fill castle. No castle is complete without a unicorn or three and this one is truly magical. Beautiful to look at, exqusitly detailed, and colours really pop. Pricey but when compared with other toys now days which get forgotten about or broken this toy will be around a lot longer and can be passed on.

I should have read the dimensions!!, I just presumed it would be bigger as I’m not familiar with this make.
