Q: does it have a built in meter to check the swr

No you have to use a external swr meter to check your match

Q: How do you add the ctcss/dcs option or is it already in the radio?

The menu options are there already, I've never played with that, but when chosen there are several menu items under each of them. Modulation is poor on this radio without going into the sub menu and making adjustments, in case anyone was wondering, I'd say its cut off at about 60% before adjustments, that goes for fm and a.m modes.

Q: Will this use regular 6 pin cb mics?

A president six-pin or a Uniden 6 pin will work with the radio
