ImusaUSA 6.9Qt Caldero Dutch Oven, 6.9 Quart, Red

This pot is absolutely wonderful! I thought it was going to be heavy, but it is surprisingly light weight and easy to use and clean! I have converted over to all ceramic cook wear because it is SO much healthier than the toxic teflon. The coating is just perfect, so don't scratch it up with metal utensils or scratchy cleaning pads. This heats up your foods fast and evenly!Yes, you must be careful of the hot handles, but I found some silicone pot handle holders that fit just perfect on this pot. They are here on Amazon and they fit perfectly. And they are red like the pot! I'm ok with the bare metal handles, because then you can use it in the oven. I would highly recommend this product! The lid us very nice too, but I wouldn't use it in the oven. Great for a big pot of chilli, soup or stew for the whole family! I LOVE how light weight it is! Easy on my back and arms! Thumbs up up up up up!

Easy to clean, color is amazing. Light and even cooking and non stickying for sure. 🙌

It’s a nice pot for most cooking purposes but the handle design is bad since it’s too hot to lift it up you need to wear heat resistant gloves which is pretty fussy:)

I was going to get a regular aluminum caldero, but saw this red one, and bought it. Arrived in perfect shape. Washed it, then made a pot of rice. Used a little less water, per other reviews, and the rice was perfect. I've used it several times now, and it's a breeze to clean, even with tomato based sauces. The handles do get hot, but that's to be expected, since it's aluminum. I don't understand why people are complaining about that - no where does it say that the handles stay cool. Seems like it would be common sense to me.. use pot holders!! It's a good size for 2 people, but if you wanted to make a large pot of soup/stew, you'd probably need something bigger. Very happy with this caldero!

I love the vibrant red color. This perfect sized Dutch oven takes up very little space. I love the big red silicone knob on the glass see through lid. Also I like that the lid really seals in the food with the inner lining underneath. The small steam port hole is great too because it never lets to much pressure build up while you're cooking. Great for reheating leftovers and browning meats. Also a great ramen noodle cooker. Definitely worth the price I paid for it. The nonstick coating prevents burning the food and makes cleanup a snap. Highly recommend this pot for busy cooks.

I recently burned up my Calphalon 2.5 quart non-stick pan with loop handles. This was my go-to everyday pot. I needed to replace it, but finding a smaller pot with loop handles was very difficult. I saw this pot; it was less than $11, and I thought, why not? This is now my new go-to pot! It cooks evenly and quickly. It cleans beautifully. I plan to order a 2 quart pot for smaller items.The single downside to this pot is that other reviewers are correct; the handles get really hot. If Imusa will add silicone handle covers, even as an add-on purchase, I’d be right there!

Fair warning, if you buy this pot, you might look around at your other pots and be disappointed. It's not necessarily that this pot cooks much better or worse than comparable metal pots on the market. But this pot is like nonstick to the max. No more scrubbing and barely even running a sponge over it, it almost looks clean even as soon as you're done cooking. I think the label said not to use high heat, but I personally haven't had any problem with that. The heat transfer seems pretty good.

The IMUSA website has this listed in two different sections, on where it lists this with no cadmium and one where it does not. One has Bakelite handles, the one that is cadmium-free, where the handles do not get hot when using the caldero on the stove top. This is NOT that caldero so this is the one that isn't cadmium-free I take it. No mention of being lead-free in the descriptions. I should have read that before purchasing and, frankly, I have been hesitant to use this.So, it is past the return time-frame on this much anticipated but misguided purchase for me. I thought I read it to be cadmium-free when I purchased it but the manufacturer doesn't list it as such.It's up to you. I use organic or hormone and antibiotic free chicken and beef. I buy organic and non-organic produce. I use foil in my aluminum pans. My pots and saucepans are all stainless steel. I even have some silicone baking accessories. But cadmium? Potentially lead? I just cannot do it. Not comfortable. I wonder about IMUSA, a company some of whose products I have in my home, not considering these as quality and health issues.I am currently using it as a planter for a fern. And expensive planter for a fern.

Good size, and a beautiful color. The handle is steel iron. The Silicon edge is damaged. I haven't used it yet.

El tamaño es muy práctico. Las agarraderas de metal si se calientan, pero eso es lógico, simplemente hay que usar un trapo para moverla. No se ralla y calienta rápidamente.

This is excellent quality. It gets hot fast and you need to hand wash it but its exactly what I wanted. The handles get hot on the sides so make sure to use pot holders or a towel to move it. I like the fact that it doesn't have a long handle. I bought two and they stay on the stove and dont take up much room. The ceramic surface inside is nonstick and I haven't had any trouble cleaning it even after I've burned food in it. I ordered this ceramic pot because I was sick and tired of teflon wearing down in my more expensive pots (The Rock) that I spent hundreds of dollars on. I don't have to worry about these doing that and im relieved. Teflon is cancerous and this ceramic pot doesn't have it. Beautiful red outside. Well made. Great product.

He usado el producto tres o cuatro veces. Me encanta, tiene el tamaño perfecto. Yo buscaba una arrocera que no fuera tan grande, esta es más corta que las que generalmente venden en el súper en México. Me gusta que la tapa tenga un pequeño orificio para dejar salir el vapor.Al igual que otros comentarios que he leído me parece que el fabricante debió colocarle a las orejitas un material para no quemarse, es incómodo que sean de metal sin recubrimiento.Pero en general, el producto es de buena calidad, no se ha rayado después de lavarla y se ve en excelente estado. La entrega me la hicieron al día siguiente de que la pedí. Estoy pensando comprar otras para regalar. Sí la recomiendo.
