Excellent product
Screw the price, it’s good stuff. Only problem I have is I need to split it because the door on my smoker is smaller. I use white oak, cherry and hickory and it all burns nice and gives me the flavor profile I’m looking for.

Expensive but worth it
We got this strictly for making wood fired pizza. The smell of the wood is glorious. It burns so hot that I thought it was going to melt my pizza oven but of course it didn’t. The aroma of the burning wood and the flavor it creates on the pizza are both divine.

Wood
I love the convenience of these logs being delivered to my house. They are smaller width and length and fit nicely in my Ranger fire pit. They are a bit pricey. Quality can be random, with some boxes having better logs than others. It’s cheaper to drive to the store but this is much more convenient.

Red oak is excellent for beef or pork
I've ordered 2 boxes now and I can't be happier with the quality and flavor produced. I use these logs on a Santa Maria style grill and the quality of bbq produces is phenomenal. My favorite things to cook with red oak are Korean short ribs and California style tri tip but I've used this wood for other things too. Will be trying it with chicken today.

A little $$ but PHENOMENAL!!
These wood pieces were exactly as described. 8 inch mini splits, and they were all equal size, no huge pieces, no small pieces, it made fire management incredibly easy. The wood was kiln dried, and all I had to do was keep a few splits at the back of my fire box away from the flame (to warm them up) as I tended the fire and added fresh wood. I have never found it easier to manage my temperature. I was able to keep steady temperatures at 225°, 250°, and 275°. Even though these wood splits are on the pricey side, to me, I felt the burning quality, the flavor, and the smoke, was worth every penny. I will be buying more of these in the future!!

Clean cut wood
Wood is very clean, precisely cut, best of all, provides excellent flavor. Doing a BBQ with this wood will impress your guests and friends. One tip, I like to soak the wood 30-60 minutes before cooking to get the slow release of smoke. Can't go wrong!

Pizza Wood + Ooni
This is a review of the "tiny pizza wood," which I purchased for use in my Ooni Karu. The price point is pretty decent for pre-cut wood, and you get a nice large box cut down into 6" strips, just as promised. I'm not an expert on wood, so I can't say whether or not I actually received the white oak I ordered, but the wood seems quite hard and burns similarly to other oak -- I think it's the real deal.I'm subtracting a couple of stars because I feel that although the lengths of the sticks are perfect, and the widths are okay -- in the 1" to 2" range -- the thickness is not enough, at just 1/4" to 1/2" for most of the sticks. This means that they burn on the hot and fast side, making it very tough to control the heat level inside of the oven, especially given that the Ooni's fuel chamber is quite small. Once it gets going, a fill up lasts maybe five minutes, and the flames can get a touch too intense. I'm not the fastest when it comes to opening dough balls or topping a pizza, so if I run outside, fill up the Ooni with these sticks, and get to stretching, by the time I'm ready to launch the flames are gone. Or if I fill it up right before putting the cheese on or whatever and not quite enough time has elapsed, I wind up with too much heat and a singed crust. Timing can be tricky. It would be great to see another version of this product in a similar length, but cut significantly thicker. (Think Jenga pieces.) Another option would be more of a "chunk" style -- both shorter and thicker, more of a cube shape.Bottom line, I feel that the value is okay for this product and I got what I paid for, but I'm not really happy for my particular use case. YMMV on this one.

Great BBQ Wood
I use oak in my Santa Maria Grill for tri-tips or Pichana. It burns a long time and has just the right amount of smoke. I put natural chunk charcoal down as a base and a couple small sticks of oak on top. Good stuff!

I don’t think these are good quality
They either came with moisture or I had a bad batch

Poids insuffisant

Great Firewood
Great supplier and product. Delivery was fast. Firewood gives a great taste to the food. I don't use a whole board. Just cut a pice and throw it in.
