EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO READ THIS
Fran Dresher is one of THE most amazing, resilient, hysterical, and drop dead gorgeous women of our times. Growing up on The Nanny, her character, her life story has influenced me so much. The whole time, I’m reading the book in my head in her voice, and LOVING IT. So many parts, specifically with her family, played out like a new episode of The Nanny we all never got to see. The things this incredible woman has been through AND overcome and ALL with timeless and classic humor and elegance, should be an inspiration to EVERYONE! And a kick in the ass for everyone to make sure preventative screening is a MUST!

Fran Drescher is Unbelievably Brave
First off the book was in excellent condition and I recieved it very quickly. The book it's self was wonderful, it tells you how Fran Drescher had to go through 2 1/2 years of painful and scary symptoms and 8 doctors before she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. When finally diagnosed, she fought and beat uterine cancer but not before having to get a full hysterectomy. She tells how she goes on today to be a woman's cancer advocate to teach women to listen to their bodies and get tested, because early detection is the key to fighting it. She was so truthful about her experiences and so entertaining, I couldn't put the book down and finished in a day and a half. Which is really fast for me considering I have 3 boys to take care of all day. Any available second I got I was reading it. When I finished it I felt more educated about woman's cancer, amazed at what she had went through and sad that she doesn't have a 3rd book for me to read. I would recommend this book to all my friends and have already started passing it around to family members and they loved it too.

Easy, breezy Franny
Fran addresses her battle with uterine cancer, but more so with being misdiagnosed. This heavy topic is made much lighter with the comedic wit and self effacing humor we've come to expect from our most beloved Nanny. But this is an intimate portrait of a section of her life, a wonderful slice of schmultz, her warm charm oozes throughout every page, at times, it's easy to forget the battle, as you get caught up with her tough choices, and indomitable spirit.

Came quickly and in great condition!
I was so excited to get this book used but I am always afraid it's going to be in horrible condition and this not only came in excellent condition even though they said it was good, they took extra Care and wrapping it in clear plastic in case some reason it got wet or bent and it's beautiful and I think this is a great seller to purchase from! Can't wait to start reading the book I just got it!

Perfect
I bought the book even though I listened to it on audio as well. She read it, and I loved it! If you feel like you've never been understood or listened to in the healthcare system, this book is empowering and provides connection. I was already a fan of Fran and this book just made me more of one! I just purchased her other book as well.

Her perspective on her diagnosis!
Well I bought the book hoping it would follow her daily journey with how she approached her cancer. It was like a high school novel, all about how she looked and dating, boyfriends and not much about the treatment or how devastated she really felt. Not a lot of information or descriptions. I read through it hoping it gave out more cancer info and how she dealt more with it. I mean she searched through a lot of Dr.s to get the right answers. It was 20 plus yrs ago, so much has changed now. I hope Fran is cancer free. I have just begun my journey stage 3. Mine is quite different ,receiving chemo once a week and radiation daily. If anything it was interesting and had to get to the ending. thank you anyway for an if anything entertaining story. I wish you the best.

"Never be passive when it comes to your health."
I've never had cancer, but, just before age 22, I developed a rare illness - minocycline-induced pseudotumor cerebri. It lasted for several months and I have never felt worse. The symptoms were hard to describe and I didn't always appear (visibly) to be ill. It was a very difficult time for me.It was caused by a medicine prescribed by my dermatologist. It was supposed to clear up my skin. I was NOT supposed to make me sick. In fact, the doctor didn't even mention that there were ANY possible "side effects." He was the doctor. I was just 21 and wanted clear skin. - It was inconceivable to me that a medicine for something so simple could possibly be dangerous.I later learned, through my own research, that I was predisposed to be more likely to be affected by it due to my weight and other factors. (While I did weigh more than my ideal weight, I was not obese.)This book gives an interesting perspective and makes me more determined than ever to take charge of my health and be my own advocate. Kudos to Fran for sharing what she learned and making us all more aware.M. Camp, Author of Relevantly Random

Wonderful Frank Memoir from a Charming TV Star
As you'd guess from the title, this 2003 memoir is not as light-hearted as Fran's 1995 book, Enter Whining, and perhaps it whitewashes the reasons for her divorce from her long-time partner. But it's just as good a read and probably more honest. I wish I'd had this book to give my best friend who suffered from a cancer similar to Fran Drescher's uterine cancer. This star is so generous in describing how she discovered and dealt with her serious cancer, it's remarkable. The book is informative, often amusing, always interesting and in the end, poignant. If I met Fran, I'd tell her in person that she probably made the right decision about radiation -- the side effects for treating can be horrific and disabling for a lifetime.

This book shows in a unique way the importance of cancer prevention, I can highly recommend the book
This book is amazing and I think it's making a lot of women take care of themselves proactively but also be more self-reliant when they have symptoms. I couldn't stop reading, sometimes with tears in my eyes.

Amazing
When a celebrity writes a book, the editing makes it sound so stiff and untrue.Cancer Schmancer was a pleasure to read. It's so honest, so pure, so true.It felt real, like an ongoing conversation with the author. It was like listening to a friend telling you a story.Sad Tears, Happy Tears but I always kept a smile on my face through it all because I could almost ear her voice reading this to me.Read it all in one session, amazing.
