Best Man's Soap There Is
Used Lava since 1973, when I got my motorcycle learner's permit and started working on vehicles as a hobby. When doing heavy work (like a valve job on a Chevy 350 head) I have always used Lemon GoJo as my goto hand cleaner.Dirt/grease/grime accumulation by anything less than a valve job? Lava Soap is the answer. My primary "like" is that the pumice "grit" of the soap is on the less abrasive side. This means My weekend wrenching isn't betrayed by glowing red, chapped & sand blasted hands. I had tried Orange GoJo for awhile, but the grit in it was noticeably more agressive. There is no fragrance per se, which my cigarette tar scarred lungs appreciate. It does smell a bit like "clean", but doesn't fragrantly announce at a 10 foot distance that, yep! I washed my hands.Lava does a great job of removing Petroleum type smells from hands/arms/elbows/biceps. So whether I am spilling gas while refueling the lawn mower, lighter fluid in the Zippo, or adding a quart of oil to my old, clapped out 318 Dodge, I am sure my cubicle mates at work won't be asking me "what did I spill on myself"?At a now more advanced age, I still rely on Lava as my primary form of not just cleaning, but cleansing my hands. Armor All scent, garbage disposal slime, p-trap hairball, change a flat tire grime, Lava solves it all.Must buy for any man.

Old time goodness!
I used Lave for decades for cleaning my dirty gardening, mechanicing, DIY ing hands. Then boom, never found it anymore in stores so thought it was gone. I just thought to see and yaaay, Amazon! Lava is perfect to get ground in dirt, grease etc out. Use a nail brush to get nails cleaner than ever. Your hands are left literally squeaky clean and odorless. And....its not expensive! I use it on dirty sandal feet! I use itto remove stains on clothing! I used it recently to remove duct tape residue on my car bumper. Its great!

Best work soap for years now
My dad & uncles always had this soap around so it was passed down as the go to work soap & even worked for stains on clothing. I use to drive 50 minutes to buy this soap for my home, parents home & both my boys homes but they quit carrying it so I went o line & found it on Amazon at the best price possible. I will continue to buy this soap & have handed it down to both my sons & even my 16 yr old grandson uses it now after working outside or on his 4 wheeler.

Leaves hands clean
I've used this soap for a long time and have never had an issue with it. Gets pretty much anything off your hands yet leaves a lotion on you skin so they feel smooth but not oily. As a mechanic I have to deal with grease, oil, gas, and many other chemicals and dirty parts and works every time.

An old favorite
I’ve used this since I was a wee child. Hasn’t changed a bit. It’s good to see a great product that the company hasn’t tried to ‘improve’. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

The old soap from your childhood days
Remember Lava soap? Your grandpa or your dad used it when he came inside after working on the tractor. His hands were grimy and he needed something that would get down in there and do the job. You used it once in a while as a kid and wondered why it was so scratchy feeling and why it smelled the way it did. But after a while you got used to it and maybe even looked forward to using it after you worked on your bicycle, your motorcycle or your own car. It brought back memories and when you added a small hand brush to it, you really could get your dirty hands clean.Well, this is that same Lava soap. And it still smells funny and it is still scratchy. And when your hands are filthy and grimy and you need to get them clean, this soap, added with a good hand and fingernail brush, will get them all clean and fresh smelling again. And if you do it right, you won't ruin one of the bathroom towels and get in trouble afterward because you still had grime on your hands.

Classic Lava! I always keep a bar by the kitchen sink.
Lava has become way too hard to find. This is the original grease cutter. It has that same look and smell I remember as a kid. It's handy to have around. Bar soaps packaged like this still used paper, so that's better for the environment, too!
