Betty Crocker, Suddenly Salad, Pasta Classic, 7.75oz Box (Pack of 4)

I've tried a number of different varieties of Betty Crocker Suddenly Pasta Salad and have decided that two of the flavors are my favorites: Caesar and Classic. It's impossible to find this in my local supermarkets, so I'm happy that Amazon carries it.Both are good basic pasta salads and the seasoning packet used to make the dressing is very similar between the two in terms of flavor, the major difference being that the Caesar version contains breadcrumbs. Since this review is under the "Caesar" heading, I'll focus on that one.I've made this "plain" several times, and it's good. But it really shines as a base that you can tailor to your own tastes. I like to chop green olives and artichokes to add a little pungent "briny" flavor. One of my favorite combos is the salad made per instructions with shredded mozzarella cheese, capers, chopped sundried tomatoes, and olives. It makes a really nice chicken caesar salad, with chopped grilled chicken and parmesan cheese served over lettuce.I like making this once a month or so -- it's a nice side with a good hearty minestrone, or by itself for a light lunch.

I love this salad and the grocery stores around here stopped selling it. I can eat a whole one for lunch. Only thing is they changed the packaging. I liked it when you would boil the grains IN the bag they came in and then run it under cold water. I guess too many people didn't bother to read the directions and just opened the bag and had to deal with a mess. Too bad, because the original was was much easier and not nearly as messy...IF you paid attention. ;) Still, I really like this salad and the dressing is perfect for it.

I like these salad mixes, they are so easy to make. A quick Caesar salad is my favorite.

This is a yummy pasta dish and I like the convenience of everything you need (except oil and water) in one box. I have made it according to the directions but recently, to save on calories, I've put in less oil--as much as one-half less than called for--and find it is just as tasty. (I always buy it on special or with coupons because I think the everyday price is a bit high for the amount you get.)

My husband loves this salad but it is impossible to find this flavor in stores near me, so, thank you, Amazon!

We love this stuff! And after prices at the store almost tripled I was sad decided to double check Amazon and was glad to find it for just over a dollar a box but now its out of stock again

I wish I could get this in the grocery store. The original one I tried was a pesto type sauce and I liked it a pinch better but this was pretty yummy too. Only problem was how sick I got after eating it; don't know if that's because I was meant to be sick anyway or if it has something to do with the salad. I have two left (from a 4-pak case) and I'll try again in order to make sure. Maybe it's that change in sauces because the first time I tried it, I bought a case then too, and never got sick.

I've tried just about every flavor of suddenly salad and the creamy parmesan is by far my favorite. There's only one problem with it, the seasoning mix is way too strong. It suggests you add chopped tomato in it, but I've experimented and found an absolute delight by turning it into an actual salad. Another reviewer suggested doubling the pasta and that definitely works, but I add a head of chopped romaine lettuce, along with tomato and fresh parmesan and my friends and family cannot get enough of it.With as much seasoning as it makes, I can also see chicken doing rather well. I would definitely recommend, just not on it's own, and it's fun to experiment with.
