Well worth the price
Very pleased with it. It's well made and feels nice to hold. The sound is lovely and it's easy to play.I don't play any instruments but I've learnt a couple of short tunes already and I've only had it a day! I've ordered a couple of song books so hopefully I'll be able to play a lot more in time.I think it would make a lovely present for either a child or an adult. The case is good quality and protects the kalimba well and has space for the tuning hammer etc. too.Well worth the money.

Looks great
Can't say if it's easy to learn as it's a present but looks and sounds good. Delivery was quick albeit dumped on the doorstep NOT handed to customer as stated. Good price with the case too.

They are for my grandchildren for Christmas. They probably learn to play it quicker than I.

Musical to your fingertips...
I'd tried a Kalimba before but only the kind of tourist trinket that's fun but not really meant as playable instrument. This Kalimba is on a different level and has a really sweet tone that's musical and appealing and should drive nearby family members only slightly crazy while you're practising. It's a good size and the sound-box gives it a lovely resonant tone and has fingerholes on the back you can use to alter the tone. The two highest notes lose that resonance and sound a bit tinny, but the rest have a really nice sound. The notes are arranged on alternate sides so to play up or down the musical scale you alternate your right and left fingers and this also means it's easier to play two-note chords because the fingering is less awkward. You can 'ping' the bars with a fingernail giving a sharper tone or 'strum' them with your fingertips which gives a softer sound. The kit is quite comprehensive and along with the really useful case you get a soft drawstring bag, a tuning tool, little cleaning cloth, a pair of silicone finger protectors (presumably to avoid callouses) and a half-decent manual describing how to play. My only issue is that it claims to be made with Mahogany, which of course is a tropical hardwood we shouldn't be using anymore (even from plantations) and it's a shame they couldn't find an alternative. That aside it's a really nice package for anyone who's musical or wants to be.
