Compatible Soft Top Roof Protector Half Cover for BMW Z3

Have enjoyed some nice cars and motorcycles, always worth protecting if you live in a place with inclement weather. Rarely have a good garage, so I'm always looking for good covers, or the right cover I should say. Been through a lot of cheap covers.This one however, is well made, and is a well thought out product. The durable plastic underlayer is fantastic to protect the top layer and keep the cover long lasting. You need to air this out, like most other things you care for in life. If you leave it in a wet heaping pile every day, it probably won't last very long. You learn these lessons quickly living in the Seattle area, and how to stave off mold. I live particularly close to lowland swamp areas with heavy wind channels cutting swaths across the land. So where I park my car, it's a street, but moisture, water, rain, and wind are constantly flowing through. Wonderfully clean air, but moisture that is not good for cars. This cover has protected my convertible top from flooding in heavy rains, it's also just kept everything underneath much nicer overall. Will it eventually degrade and need to be replaced, yes like everything else. But if you care for it as a cover, it will last and protect your car beneath.Highly recommend this company.The users who complain of water getting below: yep that's how moisture, physics, weather and chemistry work. Is it a 'COVER' that protects from a majority of water and damage pelting your car - as a Seattleite living in a swamp - YES. Is there a cover that exists that will keep out absolutely ALL moisture around your car, nope. You'll need a Batcave, or a heated garage for that.This thing is durable, well built, looks nice, and was worth every penny. Thanks North American, was tired of cheap plastic garbage covers blowing off in the wind.

Great quality product. I’m using this on a z3 because the original soft-top is deteriorating and leaking slightly around the rear window. This has withstood a few storms already. I was concerned with some reviewers saying the fit was loose but in my view it fits fine. Like others have noted, I have noticed some moisture on the underside of the cover but I believe that is simply evaporation from the soft-top or car interior. I particularly like the magnetic strips and Velcro ties (straps under wing mirrors).

Covers glass and entire soft top so keeps sun and rain off your top. Sheds water from cover to painted surface so your convertible top stays dry. Easy to install but I may add a marking so it is easy to determine front and back in the dark. On tip for installation is to bunch the cover up on top of your convertible top oriented front to back and the pull it down the front and sides so that you do not have to slide it around on the car. Sliding any cover on the painted surface can cause micro scratches so do not slide it around. Works great and I have not added any scratches to my car.

Fits right over the top and windshield of my 01 Z3. Heavy fabric with rubberized backing that appears waterproof. Perfect way to protect the top from sun damage and prolong it’s lifespan.

The window in the top on my BMW Z3 isn't in great shape, and given that most of the time I ride with the top down I wanted something that would keep the water out. This cover has done a great job so far. I like how easy it is to use, and that it still shows off the great lines of the car.Edited 07/18/2021 - the cover has faded to a light grey only after a few months. I can still see under the wipers where it is still black, but the faded grey is not fetching at all. Previously I had given the cover a 5 star rating. I’m knocking off a star due to how quickly the cover has faded.

Needed a little extra protection for my 97 BMW Z3, no garage in the warmer months. This has helped prevent the little leaks on heavier rans, and has a nice subtle look as well. Was able to "install" the first time in just a couple minutes!

Easy to install, works great and it is made of tough stuff. Actually I didn't use the in-door jamb tabs and it made no difference in performance. Rained with 30 mph winds for two days and the interior was dry as a bone.....a rarity for a Z3 rag top.

Great Fit for the Z3/M Roadster! PROTECTS YOUR TOP from the elements for about 10 months and then starts to break down. The nice black color is gone in about 4-5 months, the sun turns it light grey, and in under a year, I started to noticing pinholes.
