Excellent product, well made. AND, IT DOES REQUIRE SPECIFYING THE ORDER FOR RIGHT OR LEFT KNEE. I twisted my knee 5 weeks ago and it progressively got worse. First, pain just below the knee cap while climbing stairs. Two weeks later I had to shovel mud off a steep driveway and wheel barrow the muck (twisting my body and legs), all of which exacerbated the injury and pain on the inside and out side the knee with swelling. Now there was pain walking down hill and stair climbing was one step at a time without placing any stress on the injured leg, any length of time on the leg caused minor swelling. After three weeks of suffering I bought the Genu Train leg brace after doing a couple of hours on-line research and talked to my brother who had multiple knee injuries (off road motor cycle & basket ball) and surgeries. I received it promptly in 4 days, exactly what I ordered! I couldn't believe how well it supported my knee, not by feel or limited motion, I didn't really notice any motion limitations, but how little pain and no swelling there was at the end of the day...just after twelve hours! I have been using it for two weeks, at home and on the job (construction). I have to be cautious on uneven ground, limit load carrying, body twisting, balance and squatting/kneeling. I even was able to wear knee pads one whole day on the job while kneeling on concrete and drain rock. At home I can go up and down the stairs with normal steps with or with out the brace, and without pain. I'm impressed with design, manufacture, fit and comfort, it is well made and performs as promised. I see no problem in wearing the brace the next 2 to 4 months as my knee heals. With way too much personal experience I can attest that Bauerfeind makes the best knee braces. They are breathable, comfortable and durable. Yes it’s expensive and it’s worth every penny. As braces go it’s comfortable. It breathes. It doesn’t chafe, and you can confidently rely on it to stabilize and support the knee through the day. Nobody wants to wear a knee brace, but this is the one to get if you have to have one. I have worn way too many and tried way too many. No matter what level of support the Bauerfeind braces are next level in terms of comfort and performance. You can get another brand and pay less, but if you’re like me you’ll have irritation, sweat and constantly fiddle with it. I suffered enough with a bad knee. This brace is one luxury that was totally worth it. The company is great to work with. I misjudged my size once and had to exchange it. It was an easy process - no questions and fast.

I've been looking for a good knee brace for ages. This one fits the bill perfectly. It's a comfortable sleeve that's not only breathable, but provides great compression; it's hinged for good support and stability; and has great padding to keep the patella in place. Additionally, it has adjustable sizing straps that help with keeping it in place.Today's the first day in a long time I went up and down the stairs without terrible pain. I'm looking forward to my daily walk. I'm really glad I took the leap and spent the money. Definitely worth it.The only reason I rated it a 4 is because their sizing isn't great. I followed their directions and I should have some wiggle room based on their numbers, but the brace is snug. Not as bad as the P3 was (which was unusably tight with the same exact sizing), but I would have preferred some wiggle room.

I bought this to protect my knee as I'm recovering after a complex knee injury (MCL, ACL tears, cartilage damage). Wanted to have something that would be well fitting, minimally intrusive, and giving my knee good protection against unexpected valgus forces. This brace does the job fantastically. A great fit, does not slip. I almost don't feel it as I cycle, hike or just walk around town. At the same time the side brace is solid, provides some resistance for flexion, and has a limit to about 100 degrees of flexion. Fabric stretches well, breathes well too. I wear it over bare knee or like in these photos over my cold weather cycling tights.I'm 6'1", 230lbs, size 6 fits me well.

My loss is my gain and your gain.I bought 3 knee braces, 1 elbow brace and 1 back brace. So about $900.One knee brace tore and when I called to see what the company would do , the company found every order but the one that was ripped. So they saw $700 of orders and still asked me to find my receipt, which I couldn’t. Bottom line, the products are way over priced and zero , zero customer service.So I looked at Shock Dr and bought a brace for about 30 percent of the price and it is by far a beer product.I am glad their customer service was so putrid, it made me look at another company and that company’s product is far superior.

This knee support by Bauerfeind is amazing--such an outstanding, well-manufactured, quality product. In fact, everything about it displays the careful design and craftsmanship of this support. To be certain, it is not inexpensive, and like me, you may be someone wondering whether or not this support is worth all the money. Let me tell you that it is. Also, I had the recommendation of both a physical therapist and my ortho surgeon for this specific brand and design. I cannot be more pleased. However, please note that it is critical that you follow the instructions for measurement prior to purchase and ordering. Take your time. In fact, have someone else take the measurements, and do it more than once to confirm the numbers. I have a good, snug fit that is comfortable and provides significant relief (post meniscus surgery and ongoing knee issues due to arthritis and aging.
