UPDATE: Though I initially had issues with this cord not charging my computer, after a restart it seems to be fully functional and does charge my computer now. Changing my rating to 5 stars, it works as advertised. Leaving my previous review in case anyone else experiences the same issues.I got this to use with an HP Pavilion laptop which is less than a year old. The charger does not actually charge the computer, but rather acts as an electricity pass-through. It has been plugged in all day and is still at the same 53% that it was when I first plugged it in.This will not work as a full replacement for an HP charger, however it may work if you are using it as a supplement to your regular charger like I am. I am not returning solely because I still have a functioning HP charger to charge my laptop.
