Better Then The Overpriced X3 Bar.
THE TESLANG RESISTANCE BAND BAR AND BANDS IS A VERY HIGH QUALITY MUSCLE BUILDING & FITNESS EQUIPMENT PRODUCT AND IS A GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO THE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED X3 BAR WHICH IS WHY I BOUGHT TWO OF THEM. IN MY OPINION IT IS WAY BETTER THEN THE X3 BAR BECAUSE THE QUALITY OF THE BAR AND BANDS IS EQUAL TO THE X3 BAR AND THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING THIS PRODUCT BEFORE THE PRICE INCREASES.

Holding up good so far
This is a decent set. The door anchor and handles give you more options and a variety of exercises and the bar works well and seems sturdy enough. The soloflex is my primary means of resistance training, but I do use these as well, especially when I travel.

Best of the import bars - that's not saying much - a bar or band failure could end very badly...
I'll begin by saying I have no axe to grind here - just sharing insights on how serious/safe a tool this is.Many compare these import bars to the X3 system - and I thought I might put my two cents in since I've worked with both this bar and the X3 system - and on the plus side this Teslang bar is an inexpensive choice, and much heavier than a lot of the what is on the market - but at that price it's not world class and doesn't try to be. There is a reason X3 costs what it does. It holds up to 600 pound loads all day with a good safety margin. Metallurgy and machining costs money. Premium multi layer latex bands last for many years and are consistently linear in forces required to stretch them but they aren't cheap to make. This is why NFL athletes and others pro athletes use X3. It works and it stands daily hard use. Here, you get about what you pay for - for better or worse. To properly load up these exercises you need a floor plate - and one that can take as much as the bar itself. The fact that they don't offer one is probably a blessing in disguise as it makes it harder to really load up the bar to the point where you could do yourself a mischief.Teslang's 500 pound rating is in my opinion overly optomistic and has no safety margin - I'd suggest more like half that as maximum or less - the hook eyes on the end of the bar rotate independently - there is no continuous metal rod from left to right as found in X3. They also wobble about a quarter inch under light pressure. As far as I can tell without taking it apart, it's just two eyelets bolted into bearings on each side of the bar. A split ring is visible from the side, and that seems to be all that retains the bearing. If that slip ring jumps the track, and they sometimes do, the hookeye and clip will become a projectile. The bands aren't the best, and feel like they might last a couple months of regular use. After that, they might fail without warning. Others have posted reviews about this. One can get hurt this way...!I, for one, like the way my teeth, nose and eyes are arranged, thank you.Next - ignore the door hook and handles. Why? I don't recommend you double up the 125 pound band and use it on the door hanger they offer - even if your bedroom door can stand a point load of 250 pounds repeatedly, day after day, it's not a bright idea. In fact, any band over 20 pounds on an interior door is beginning to be iffy...The loading feels inconsistent and nonlinear - a consequence of the thermoplastic part of the bands perhaps - in any case, it's not how you want to train a range of motion. The ergonomics of the clips are poor as well. This might be good as an inexpensive way to do light exercise on the road - IF you stick to the light bands...It's perhaps OK to get your feet wet with bar and band systems - but again, stick to lighter bands...Hence the 2 stars - but as a serious tool it is NOT recommended.

Good workout
This is well made and provides plenty of resistance for a good workout. Only got 4 stars because I'm 6'3" and would like the bar to be about 3 or 4" longer. Just a little to narrow grip for me but will continue to use and workout. Overall I am pleased with this product and would recommend. I am 75 yrs old but I competed in sr games from the time I was 54 to 67 yrs old. I was the state champion almost every year for bench press and curl. Trying to get back in shape, probably won't do competition any more but this is plenty good for anyone that wants to.

Cumbersome
Not what I expected. These bands are way more complicated to work with.

Good and inexpensive
Fantastic! I didn't think I could get a good workout with resistance bands but so far so good.
