Great bike, the battery lasts a long time and its pretty fast.
I was pretty surprised how long the battery lasts for this bike, I dont recharge until after 3-4 rides usually. The speed is also very fast. I dont use more than level 1-2 out of the 5 settings since I feel its a bit too fast. I think on level 5 I have gotten it up to 25-27mph. The disc breaks work well and its good that hitting the break stops the motor too.

Update - Bike Failed again after less than 1 Month from Repair ...Fantastic Customer Service!!!!
I purchased this Fat Tire Bike, along with another 27 inch 500w Paselec during a Black Friday sale 2021. The 500w bike is still going strong, but the Fat Tire was nothing but problems from the get go. Out of the box it did not shift properly ( couldn't use 9th gear ) and would overheat on long rides and shut down. Then after 8 month of moderate use the speedometer stopped working and the computer started throwing a E010 error code. After contacting Paselec Customer Service directly and explaining my problems they asked me to take some photos and complete a few basic trouble shooting steps. They sent me a new derailleur and new controller, which arrived just 2 days later!Both the new derailleur and controller were upgrades; the derailleur was higher quality, and the controller was physically larger, and rated for a higher amperage, which should solve the overheating problem. Unfortunately the new controller did not fix the speedometer or the error message, so I reached back out to Paselec. After sending them a few more troubleshooting photos, they agreed to send me an entire motor hub assembly!Would I have preferred the bike to work out of the box? Absolutely. But Paselec's customer service is just awesome. They turned a one star experience into 5 stars by simply standing behind their product!UPDATE #1, 09/2022 - the bike computer failed again after just ONE RIDE after receiving the new motor hub assembly. Paselec Customer service is still excellent, as they continued to send me parts to try and fix the issue; I have replaced every electronic component on the bike, save for the battery - the motor, the wire harness, the controller, and the computer, all from parts direct from Paselec, and all free of charge. There are no original electronic components left!! The odd thing is however, when I swap any 1 part to my other Paselec bike, it works, but together on the same bike, nothing works, with either an e010 or an e006 error code.Again, customer service in 10 stars, but it really doesn't matter if the product is bunk. It is really unfortunate because when the bike works, it works great. My other Paselec bike continues to chug along, no problems at all, but this fat tire bike is destined for the junkyard :(Update #2 11/22 - Paselec reached out about a month after my l updated my review, and offered me a full refund, which I accepted. They are also continuing to work with me to try and get the bike repaired; if we can get it working again, I'll have a free $1400 ebike, so I have to reiterate just how good paselec's customer service is. I will update again if and when the bike is running again

I would return it if I could
It’s advertised as a mountain bike, but only if you like to put your chain back on a lot. My first time on the trails my chain came off so many times it eventually broke. The second time on the trails I just got tired of the chain coming off I quit. Nothing worse than going up a steep grade and the chain pops off from a little bump. Yes, there is something worse than that and that is when you call the support number and get an additional $115 bill on your phone bill, because it was made to china. The chain even pops off when I am riding on the road or paved bike path. My daughter’s $100 mountain bike from Walmart which is less than my stupid phone call for my $2000 paselec hasn’t even had a problem. Plus, my first ride up and down my street the rubber plug to the charging port popped off somewhere. I don’t recommend this bikeUpdated: 7-16-23 after all the struggles I have had with this bike from the beginning are over, because it no longer works. I have been sent parts to do the repair work myself from the beginning and it has never worked properly. I have offered to pay to have it shipped and repaired professionally, but there’s supposedly no one I can send it to have it repaired. I enjoyBiking, but I hate wasting my money on a piece of scrap metal. If you’re still interested in buying . You better buy the extended warranty you will need it.

Non-existant Customer Service, broke and cannot be fixed.
Really nice bike until the rear derailer bracket broke off. I took it to a bike repair shop. They cannot fix it because the bracket is proprietary. They attempted to contact Paselect and were asked for receipts and etc. They did not have my receipts so I picked up trying to contact Paselectric. 5 calls and all ya get is a voice mail. They have yet to call me back. I emailed them and got a nonsense message back about me sending them a representatives email. Bike is unfixable $2000 paperweight. Wasted money. I have to assume all these reviews talking about great Customer service are fake.Ok, I finally got an email back where they gave me links to purchase the repair parts. It was a few days past a year so I have to pay for the parts, $110.I purchased the parts and did not get a confirmation email. So I had to contact them by email and they confirmed the parts will arrive in 7 days.Soon after this Customer Service actually called me... a week after I first left a message with them. They do have a Customer Service just wait for a week by your phone and they might call ya back?I raised it to two stars because supposedly I am getting the parts at my expense to fix the bike for a known problem they have since fixed by re-engineering the lastest models.

Fun. Ride.
I really enjoy the bike and I keep on riding it. I needed my father in law to install it. But if you are remotely capable of being a handy man it should not be too much trouble. I love the bike!
