These little guys are super tough and installation is secure; I used a bit of gorilla glue to secure them; you will need to be exact with your measurements; but that goes without saying. Look great, and work as advertised.

These small brass connectors work well to keep table halfs and leafs aligned. Keep measurements exact as there is not much tolerance for error which makes for nice snug fit.

I read reviews before buying knowing there was going to be some slop.Will work if you don't mind some wiggle room.But if you need precision, no slop pins, these are not it.

These had to much slop in the marriage.

These are nice brass table pins. They are well-machined and fit together with only a slight amount of play. However, because of that, even very small errors in drilling holes to insert the pins can quickly multiply, leading to misalignment that is impossible to correct. Unlike wooden table pins that can be shaved to achieve a perfect fit, these must be positioned accurately from the start. When installing these, I would recommend using a good set of dowel pins to locate the holes for drilling.

These brass dowels arrived in a small plastic container with the correct quantity. The outside measures exactly 8mm. The pin and the mating socket have a slightly sloppy fit, as other reviews have mentioned. There is an approximately 0.40mm difference between the size of the pin and the size of the socket. For the reason I ordered these, which is not for a table, it will work fine. If I was building a piece of fine furniture and needed a tighter fit, I’d probably be a little disappointed. But with that said, for the price, they will do the job.
