Totally Bamboo Salt Keeper Duet Salt and Pepper Bowl, Cellar and Storage Box with Two Compartments, Magnetic Swivel Lid

I am very pleased with the quality and convenience of this item. The size is perfect. I got pink salt and medium grind pepper to put inside so I can get a perfect pinch for my culinary adventures. I don't know why I waited so long to get one.

I use kosher salt and Himalayan pink salt in my cooking. I also add my own custom spice mixes to coffee and tea. I find it much faster and more reliable to measure these by the pinch than any other method. In the case of pink salt, I would always have to grind the salt for each addition; and this step typically would preclude measuring it. (If you doubt this, try grinding salt into a 1/4 tsp measure.)These bamboo keepers are ideally suited to these practices. I can grind the salt in advance and store it in one section. I put kosher salt in another. I can grab pinches of salt to season a single serving. Or I can use a spoon to measure. I bought two of these, so the second one I use for the spice mixes.The magnetic latches are very convenient, holding the lids lightly in place. One can easily hold the dispensers stable on a polished stone surface and open the lids with one hand. This means that adding salt can be done almost simultaneously with other prep steps. It ends the problem of having to go to the sink to wash and dry both hands in order to keep the salt grinder or the spice jar from getting soiled with messy cooking fluids - assuming one has one clean hand.The size I would characterize the size as generous for the way I use them. I think they look completely satisfactory in the kitchen; but I don't think I would characterize them as stylish or giftable. I would say that for them to become widely used they will have to be introduced in a lot more styles.People finicky about kitchen decor are unlikely to embrace them as decorative elements; but people who want to streamline certain cooking practices are likely to find them indispensible.

This was exactly what I needed for the salt and cinnamon I buy in bulk and used to just spoon out from the bag. They are very cute, size is perfect, doesn't take up too much counter space. Glad I found these.

Like this very much and it looks nice and very functional. It's great for my 3 most used spices. What I keep in it; kosher salt, Himalayan salt and white pepper. It allows me to keep my black pepper grinder, olive oil and this item all in one neat little dish next to my stovetop. I like a minimal look on my countertops and this takes 3 items down to one. While I thought I wouldn't like the look of the bamboo material, it actually provides a nice texture and complements the standing cutting board to soften the look of the tile backsplash and quartz counters.It slides open smoothly and wipes down easily. Will add this to my Christmas list for a friend as I think everyone needs this by their cooktop.

Like the 3 containers, stays upright on the counter, looks great. I use it for just about every meal I cook.

Rustic Asian vibe, of course.Solid construction.Very easy to open and close with one hand.Closes securely both mechanically and magnetically. This model is somewhat awkward to operate with one hand (the single compartment one it's ideal for that). This is because the pivot/hinge is fairly tight. I suspect this is by necessity with this multi-tier design. I expected this and got the separate one for salt, and am perfectly satisfied.Magnet closure is also secure, without providing too much resistance.Attractive clear varnish. Interiors other than lid and bottoms of compartments are unvarnished but smooth.Negative: Closes a bit tightly for one-handed operation (see comment above).Offgassing on arrival. I believe it is from glue used. Still offgassing some after a week.I also gave it a quick wash and air-dried it, but during airdrying, at a couple spots where water took longer to evaporate, the varnish dissolved! So, I would say, always hand dry, including rim and underside of lid near pivot/hinge.I applied a cutting board conditioner (waxes and mineral oil) inside and out to better protect it and improve the lustre of the interior and spots where varnish washed off.

Very good quality for the price. Easy to use and looks great on my counter. Very happy with this purchase

This is my second Totally Bamboo Triple. I use the first for various salts and this second for various powdered/granular sweeteners - salt and sweet. So convenient not to search for bags or bottles and having the optionality right at hand. I would ask the Totally folks to consider building in a 1/4 teaspoon as that would be super convenient. I've had the first one for years, no issues and expect to have them for near-ever.

Well made. Looks good. Works as expected. Great to have at the ready on or near the cooking area filled with your fave go-to herbs or spice blends.. finding it rather handy! Want another one! Could use it for other storage as well such as spare change, rings, elastics, etc.

I use it for salt/pepper on for cooking. Looks great and works smoothly. Great product for both form and function.
