Neosporin Essentials Moisture Body Wash, Soap Free, Fragrance Free, 10 Ounce

My story: I work on saltwater fish tanks and I don't have health insurance. Over the last few years my right arm has been stung endlessly by corals causing open cuts/wounds which I then stick in bacteria laden fish tanks. Gross I know. ANyway, I developed a rash which was always a nuisance but most recently became infected and swollen. In the aquatic world there is a disease that is rare called mycobacterium marinum. Now, my arm didn't look nearly as bad as the majority of those Google images but it sure felt like it did. And I'm not sure if somehow the repeated damage from the corals/bacteria have lent themselves to come type of chronic eczema condition. Whatever the case, I was in pain, itching and my arm almost looked disfigured by the swelling and skin hives/whelts.I couldn't get into see a dermatologist for a few weeks so I began experimenting with everything. I tried Cortisone 10, several prescription steriod topicals friends gave me, calamine lotion, aloe vera, OTC anti-itch lotions, etc. Finally I found this on Amazon and ordered it. Thank goodness for Prime because it was here the next day and I was in pain. In reading the reviews I decided to take the advice and not get cheap by not using all three products. I washed my arms with the body wash and then applied the Neosporin Moisturizer cream...let it soak in and then an hour later I put on the anti-itch cream even though I was already less itchy.I'm not even kidding you...in FIVE hours my arm looked entirely different. The swelling was nearly gone, the itching was about 90% reduced, the hot red appearance was replaced by my normal skin tone and the rough alligator scaling was softened. I applied this for two days and stayed out of saltwater. Today was the first day back in saltwater and my arm did react so I came home to apply all three and my arm is 95% better already.So, not sure what disease I have but this SAVED me. I read about how it has certain chemicals in it that may cause cancer and yes, I prefer that these things weren't in almost every product we use in our lives but they are and right now I'll take that tiny risk compared to the utter hell of pain I was in trying to tear my skin off with no relief from the itching and swelling. If this is ecxema then I truly feel for all those that suffer from it...just had no idea that something could itch this bad, constantly.

I bought this for my fiance with Eczema. He has the lotion and that does help him quite a bit. But this only kinda works. He said it isn't as drying as actual soap, and it doesn't make it any worse, but he still has skin issues. I like the way it smells. Very clean, not medicine-y like I expected.

Absolutely love this body wash. Nothing has ever made me feel so "clean" all over. If I could afford to use this every day, I would.Regarding the smell... some people have complained about what they perceive as a weird smell that turns them off. I could see why some people might find it weird, considering there are no added scents in this product, leaving the odors the ingredients naturally give off.Personally, I like the "non-scented" smell. It smells very clean to me, and natural. No gross floral or "water" fragrances like every other body wash on the market.I would describe the actual smell as a cross between "porcelain which was bleached a day ago" and "the smell of a brand new baby (which always smelled like fresh donuts to me)".A simpler way to describe it would be "very faint chlorine" and "youth".Sounds weird, but I love it, and I love this body wash.As far as how well it cleans and its effect on the skin, it cleans the body amazingly well, does not aggravate the parts of my body which often get dry and itchy, and in my opinion, gives you an aura of "totally clean" after your shower.

I have been using this product for over 2 years now but this is the first time I have had to purchase the item through Amazon. My local Wal-Mart and Walgreens have quit carrying the body wash and only carry the cream so now I have to purchase this online.The wash works best when you combine it with the Neosporin Essetials Cream. My son has ecsema and this is the only over the counter product that we have found that will work to relieve the itching and get rid of the redness and bumps. I have tried the anti-itch cream but it doesn't seem to offer anythng extra since the Cream will help with reducing the itching. Like I said, the majic seems to be when I use both the body wash first and then follow it up with the cream. When I first started using this, I used the body wash every day until his skin cleared up and now I am down to once a week with the body wash and then once a day with the cream. Give this a try, you won't be disappointed.

My son suffers from eczema and this is the only body wash that will not irritate his skin. When we used regular ones he would come out of the shower with red irritated skin on his tummy and sides. Even baby wash would irritate him. This has the perfect balance of moisturizers. I feared bath time for him because it was so painful for him, if the water was a little too warm it would burn him where his skin was irritated. Within 2 uses of this wash, his skin seemed to be healing it did not look as irritated. I highly recommend this wash, use it with the moisturizer as well and you will be in awe of what both products can do together!!! It cleans very well. My husband is an auto technician and gets pretty dirty with oil and all sorts of vehicle fluids at times. He tried this body wash and said that it cleans and washes all that with no trouble at all when he usually had to use special soaps designed for that purpose.
