Passed the time
It was an OK read but could have been more , the part about the wife felt as if it had been added in near the end and could have been finished better rather than rushed

Highly recommended
A friend of mine tends to send me links to freebies, and I mostly ignore them. This one had been mislabeled as "YA", and I very nearly passed.I am VERY glad I didn't.I picked up the book this morning and thought I'll just give it a quick once-over before I head outside.Luckily I'm a fast reader, or I'd never make it outside in daylight. I read the book in one session, and enjoyed it immensely. We get to meet Abby, who is the bartender at Tucker's local pub. Tucker is still suffering from the loss of his wife, and not in any state of mind to "go there". No matter what his family says. But his date for his cousin's wedding bails on him the day before, and he'd rather not go alone.Abby is pretty certain he'll break her heart if she gets close. She's worried about him, but all possible heartbreak aside, the guy needs a friend, and if that's she'll ever be, so be it.We're along for the ride, and it's a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, meeting not just Tucker and Abby, but the whole family.Juliana Stone managed to convey a hot, steamy eroticism without resorting to overly graphic sex scenes. (Don't get me wrong, they are hot scenes, just without the need of mentioning every single body fluid, which so many authors resort to now.)She made me care about every single character in the book, not just Tucker and Abby. I enjoyed meeting the entire rabble, and she also introduced them to me as individuals, with many facets, rather than just some carbon cutouts. These people have layers. And I like well developed supporting characters. All in all, the book is a great read, with good hooks, a good plot that keeps moving forward at a steady pace and makes you want to turn the page. There are a few little niggles, like a missed word here and there, but nothing that detracts from the story, and nothing that would spoil the book. (And I've seen some 5* stinkers in my time. This is NOT one of them.)I am very glad I gave this author a chance, and I will be picking up the next book.I'm very picky about what I like. I don't often give 5* and I don't often review a book I've read. Yours deserved it.Ms. Stone, thank you for a great read. :) I'm looking forward to reading Jack's story.

great romance
Sexy romance as the rich widowed Tucker falls for Abby, but can’t quite fall all the way. A cute read.
