I LOVED the ease of use with this!! And it's expensive but lasts FOREVER! I used this bar for about four weeks (washing hair every other day). Hair takes awhile to get used to it without added treatment but I started to get buildup after week four so I had to stop using it. Wow it made my hair soft and manageable so I'm sorry about the buildup - majorly!The mint smell is strong with your face to the bar but hardly noticeable once hair is clean and dry.

You know those little buttermilk you see at weddings and special events? Well, those are exactly what is what this smells like. The smell of peppermint wakes me up when I use this and it leaves a slight and subtle tingling sensation on my scalp but nothing overwhelming overwhelming or uncomfortable. It feels invigorating.At first I was a little concerned it would make my hair feel dried out but it actually has the opposite effect. It feels buttery and it makes my hair feel softer. It doesn't have quite as much of a lather as liquid shampoos do but I was actually surprised how much of a lather I got with this, considering it is a bar soap. It cleaned my scalp and hair thoroughly and did not leave behind any weird residues.I really love the idea of this bar soap. Not only is this portable and convenient for travel and camping but it also cuts down on the amount of plastics that need to be used. I really love the idea of this bar soap. I've never used a shampoo bar before. Prior to using this, I kind of found it unappealing to rub a block of soap on my head while washing my hair. However, this shampoo bar took me by surprise and ended up being a great experience. First off, it smells great, just like peppermint candy. I have long thick hair and tend to use a LOT of shampoo and that was still the case with this. I did have to really work at getting a satisfying lather going. This is great for taking with you on the go, and I love the fact that it's vegan.

This is ok. I had to use it 2 or 3 times for a cleaning though whereas I have other bars that I only need to wash with once without repeating.

I got this because I believe it to be nontoxic. I like that it is made in america. For me it's a no, for my husband it's a yes.I have virgin hair, never any dye or heat or chemicals, some frizz, waves, some coarse, some fine, oily in the very top, I think low porosity. I think this spreads really easy but when you go to massage it into my bra strap length hair my fingers feel stuck immediately so it takes more time and effort to scrub. After rinsing it feels like a lot of friction- to me that means buildup but to my husband that means squeaky clean so I don't know, but I feel a film on my crown bair after it dries and I don't feel it does anything for my frizz.My husband has hair buzzed on the sides and back with a 3 length cut on top, he has very coarse and very oily hair, he gets dandruff. This has replaced his name brand chemical shampoo for dandruff because it does even better. He can scratch his head and shake it and nothing comes flying off. He rarely washes his hair with anything more than water. He really likes it.For his hair type or dandruff i recommend, for longer hair that is prone to build up I don't recommend.

This shampoo bar has an absolutely delightful peppermint scent. It lathers well and leaves my hair feeling clean and soft. This soap is made in small batches in the USA. It contains a wonderful array of nourishing oils for my hair such as sunflower, coconut, sustainable palm and safflower, and castor oil. It also has a number of essential oils: peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender, jojoba oil, and rosemary extract. It also has oat aminos and vitamin B5. Quite an impressive list. It is vegan, cold-processed, and has no animal testing, no artificial scents, colors, or preservatives, and uses only the purest ingredients. According to the website for Schizanadu Organics, they donate 10-100% of the purchase price of each of their products to support the rescuing of endangered sea turtles, the collection of plastic from the oceans, and beach clean up, and the recovery of injured sea animals. I like this product, I like its eco-friendly packaging and the idea of shampoo bars in general, and I am very glad I ordered it.

This bar has an almost cubical form factor, a mild spearmint scent, and it creates a thick lather.Given the spearmint, I was wondering if this would feel cool and tingly on my scalp - it didn't, but maybe a bit warming?Overall, this is a good green alternative to plastic bottles, and a good shampoo.

I love the peppermint in it and it makes me want to go wash my hair now. I am moving away from the plastic shampoo containers and moving to the soap bars.
