After years of forking out cash for other upscale brand water bottles for my family of 4, I angrily cleaned out my water bottle cupboard (yes, I have a water bottle cupboard) of broken, missing parts, leaky water bottles that averaged $20 each or more. I glanced over at the counter and there was my husband's trusty Nalgene (looks exactly like this except grey...not much has changed) from 2007. The volume measure on the side is a little worn off but still legible, and the bottle and cap are still trucking along, not leaking, doing their job, after a decade.I realized, those water bottles have been in the dishwasher multiple times per week for 10 years. He's dropped them many times on various surfaces. He literally dropped one off a cliff while hiking and it survived. They've been left in super hot and super cold cars, frozen solid full of water when we found them. The cap is permanently attached, and there are no other parts to lose, so we still have them both intact. They were the only survivors of my purge.His 2 bottles are a plain grey, but now they come in other bright colors so I bought 2 for each family member in their own color choice. This teal with orange was perfect for my daughter. My son got red, and I have purple. What a relief! They are all the same size and shape, easily identifiable, and virtually indestructible. All parts are dishwasher friendly, the kids can't lose straws, caps, plugs, etc. The 16oz size is big enough for me to take on a hike but small enough for my grade school aged kids to handle. There are no fancy drinking mechanisms to learn, clean or break - it's just a straight twist off cap that fits nice and tight so you don't worry about throwing it in the bottom of a backpack. And the price - great deal compared to the other bottles I've been buying!Go for it...you won't be disappointed.

I've owned Nalgene products for about two decades now, & my original litre-sized/32 oz. is still as good as the day I purchased it. The scratches & wear marks merely add to its character. As their promo description says, they're a relatively simple construction that works extremely well. This smaller 16 oz. is a first for me, & it'll be most convenient to use around the house or to take along on morning walks. The translucent colour is super.Nalgene makes excellent, resilient sleeves for their 32 oz. bottles. Though I was unable to find a Nalgene sleeve for this size bottle, there are some from other sources that are quite nice. There's even a smart woodland camo version that'll compliment the olive drab Nalgene I have.I ordered another as a Christmas present, & I confess it was a last-minute transaction. Even amid the holiday rush, the shipper ensured my order was safely packaged & arrived in record time. A sincere thank you for that, & another to Amazon for having such dependable businesses from which we can choose!

This water bottle can actually hold slightly more than 16 ounces (probably close to 18). The bottle itself is wider than the wide-mouth 16oz, but narrower than the 32oz Nalgene. For daily use, I love these smaller water bottles since they are easier to carry with me.This is my first narrow-mouth Nalgene, and I like how easy it is to drink from. I also like that the cap is small enough for a young child to grip well - my 3 year old niece tested it, & was able to open & close it by herself with ease.The only slight negative is that it doesn’t fit the car cup holders of my 1998 Honda CRV, but that’s what I expected. It’s completely leak proof, so you can put it wherever else is convenient (carabiners are perfect for clipping Nalgenes to things).Hand-washing is surprisingly easy, because a baby bottle brush fits through the mouthpiece with little effort. I’ve also run it through the dishwasher without any issues.

Exactly what we were after! Got it for our toddler when we go hiking & he loves it! Also great size to just pack around for small errands! Worth it and then some. Also super durable since a toddler mostly uses it.

Love the color, and of course, it's super sturdy. Appreciate the smaller opening. Wish they could figure out a way to make the cap holder more comfortable.The problem I have with these bottles is just from sipping on them and closing the bottle, it starts to smell fairly quickly and it's noticable when drinking. I don't want to wash it every single day. I now leave it open for a bit after drinking from it and it's better. Works for my use but if you're using this everyday out of the house, it might not be great.

When u want to have a cute little bottle to re-fill in the go.

I have been trying to limit my soda consumption. The combination of this bottle/ my home tap water/ liquid IV or crystal light has been a good middle ground for transitioning away from soda. Nalgene makes a great leak-proof bottle. The narrow mouth makes it kind of a pain to clean. I bought a bottle brush specifically for cleaning. Great bottle. Very happy with my purchase.

Is strong as always with nalgene products however this color looks darker in the picture than in real life.

LOVE the colour! I was on the search for a smaller sized bottle to throw in my bag/attach to my fanny pack for spring/summer walks and didn't see any kids sized bottles I liked at MEC; fortunately Amazon had a great selection! Love that it's narrow mouthed as well as I can't seem to drink from wider mouth without getting water all over myself, haha!

My family like these smaller Nalgene bottles for bedtime water or quick trips out.Always happy with the quality of Nalgene bottles, they stand up to repeated use.

For the price: I have been filling it every working day with liquid and it never let me down!
