I love Micron Pigma pens
I love Micron Pigma pens. I use them for quilt labels, drawing, and most recently writing in my Bible. The ink doesn't bleed through the paper. I've had too many non-acid free pens bleed through over time and make the other side of the page confusing. I like the .25 width best for that use.

Needs Dry time to avoid smearing
Fine point. Let it dry several minutes or it smears

Break easily
The school Booster Club bought these pens for use during a series of Zentangle lessons with our 4th and 5th graders. Even though the instructor told the children how to use the pens (straight up and down) and we all stressed that they needed to be gentle, the first pen was broken within 10 minutes of starting the first lesson. The tips are very fragile, and if you put more than the lightest pressure on them the tip shoves up inside the pen and it won't work. If you use the pen at a slant, as you would a ball point, the tip bends, and the pen won't work. By the end of the second lesson we had to buy another box because so many pens had been damaged. On the plus side, the pens did indeed live up to their reputation of the ink drying almost immediately, and not smearing. Out of 92 kids and multiple lessons, not a single one had smears on their papers or their hands. The color is a deep black that looks great on white paper. So, if you are an artist with a light hand, I would definitely recommend these pens. If you are heavy-handed, or are working with anyone below about 15 years old, these are probably not the pens for you.

Five Stars
It’s great for writing in my Bible. It doesn’t bleed through the pages.

The best for Tangles
Great tips and good permanent ink. The perfect width to do tangles. Use watercolor or alcohol markers around the tangle and the ink in these pens will not run.
