Glad I insisted on buying this instead of the normal umbrella-style parasol. I questioned if it would survive strong winds. My wife said no parasol would. I agree with her so decided to go for a prettier style. This product is huge in size. It fits my square garden table and chairs set so well that they look like a permit set. Unlike the traditional umbrella style parasol which only stays above the table, this product can be turned 180 degree to shade the opposite direction. My wife is very pleased with this feature because she can do her online yoga lesson on the lawn in the shade without moving the heavy parasol. I put four heavy slabs to fix its feet on the ground and on top of those a couple of big pots of plants or vegetables firmly root it to the ground. This parasol has been at our service nearly everyday since day1 except one windy day. We are happy with our purchase.

Umbrella is very sturdy, easy to assemble and use. You need to be aware of how much space you need as it only goes in 2 directions & you cannot change this. Also do not buy the recommended (by Amazon not the seller) weights as they are not really suitable for this type of foot construction. The first time I used it, despite having 80kg of sand in the weights, the wind, which was not high, blew the umbrella off the weights. The seller was very accommodating but could not help resolve the weight problem as they do not sell the weights you need therefore you need to thorough research.The customer services are difficult to deal with as they are not in uk

Looks great and seems reasonably strong, time will tell. Very pleased so far, especially with the recent heatwave. Bought the heaviest weights (15kg) to keep it stable, these are essential extras purchased from well known diy chain. The shade does not flap about too much in the breeze.

Covers well the place I needed. It resisted a wind blast (turned over but stayed as one piece with almost no damage).What I like about it:- Easy to mount/set up- Doesn't occupy much space when closed- Good blocking of the sunWhat could improve:-It requires some strength to put back in closed position (not to close the umbrella but to unlock the arm from side lock)

Received this cantilever parasol today - ordered 2 days ago so pleased with prompt delivery. I've read lots of reviews and many talk about weighting the base down and how they didn't know this - it is clearly stated on the Amazon website that weights are needed - why do people not read the description properly!!The parasol is easy to assemble - a bit cumbersome but not a big problem. It looks well made & time will tell if the plastic components stand up to regular use but I think if you are careful then it should last a good while.I am currently researching what to use as weights be that paving slabs or the weights you can buy which you fill with water or sand or both.All in all after checking the parasol, putting it up to check it all works ok (which it does) I can say thus far I am pleased with my purchase.

Took a long time to decide which cantilever parasol to buy. Many have mixed reviews & I was worried about sturdiness esp. in the wind & it toppling over. However, I needn't have worried. Placed 2 bags of builders sand over the legs which works a treat. A very good buy for the price and it looks great too. Just need to buy a table now. Very pleased.

Does the job. Just a shame the weights are as expensive as the parasol.

Really good and it’s huge. Anyone buying one of these parasols need an appropriate area to screw it down or put something very heavy on the base otherwise a gust of wind will tip it up
