Composer Pro II with Sweet 50 Lens - for Canon EF - Sweet Spot of Focus - Dreamy Blur - Perfect for Landscapes and Ambient Portraits

I had written an earlier review disparaging this lens, which is now my favorite. After months of trying to focus it properly, one morning I took this lens to the public gardens with no other lenses. After spending a full day with it, I returned home with some of the best photographs I had ever taken. The secret? I locked the tilt/shift in place and used it like that the first day. Bolstered by the great results on everything from flowers to landscapes, I unlocked the mechanism and got even better results. I will not say this is an easy lens. I will say that it tried my patience for awhile, but once I conquered it, I find it to be a superlative lens.

Steep learning curve and not easy to find where one CAN learn!

Super unique, amazing bokeh effects and it has that perfect amount of baked in “goodness”. The lens is well built and has performed amazing. Took me a min to figure out how to change the aperture (it’s in the front when you extend the lens by focusing to infinity).

Pair this lens with 120fps videography, and you're in for a lot of great footage. I'm a huge fan of the tilt shift aesthetic and this lens delivers perfectly for still photography and videography. Great price for this specialty lens.

This is an terrific lens. It does have a small learning curve, but once you get the hang of it you'll be ableto create some awesome images.

Still evaluating. Needed to inform seller about huge dent in box that Lensbaby was receive in. Causes me some concern.

I think I'm really going to enjoy this lens!As a teen in the '70's, I used a 35mm vivitar camera. I took tons of pictures and you would never know if your pictures came out good or not until your film was developed.Thankfully the days of putting vaseline on my filters, saran wrap and cardboard cutouts are now gone with this lens!They say there is a learning curve with this lens because it's used manually. I have no problem with that. It's the digital aspect these days that throws me. I'll get it eventually, but I miss film and technology is going to kill me.Kudos to adorama for the help they provided me. They were always available and kind.

I love this lens! it's a little hard to use since its all manual but with practice it becomes easier. I love the effect it gives to my photos
