I put this GPS speedometer on my Super Air Nautique wakeboard boat. It worked fantastic for wakesurfing as we surf around 10 mph. My only complaint is that after 4 years it started sticking at 10 mph no matter what speed you were going (which is why I rated it at 4 stars). I replaced it with an identical one, hopefully I get more than 4 years out of the new one.

I have installed a few of these in customers boats and they work great. Very easy to install. If you only have one power wire make a jumper wire to connect the signal and power terminal. 90% of the installs I have to do that set up.

I got sick and tired of the inaccurate and unreliable pitot tube speedo in my Formula. This was a drop-in replacement that was easy to wire up assuming you have basic electrical skills. Faria recommends one "constant on" battery terminal connection, one "signal" wire with key-on which I pulled off one of my engines tachs, one ground wire, and one wire for the gauge backlight.Make sure you run the wires through the clamp/shroud that needs to bolt the gauge in place and note that when the speedo first turns on the needle sits at 5mph which means it's acquiring a signal, when it drops back to 0mph it means it has satellite signal (at each key-on startup).I checked the speed-accuracy with my iPhone and it's dead on. All in all, this is a quality gauge that looks great, I highly recommend it.

Bought the unit. My second faria gps speedometer for a new boat. While the first one worked great, this one is not. It does the familiar Faria boot up when started, (pegs needle at 60 then back to 0) but it never registers speed after that. Any advice or should I return this one for a new unit? Would absolutely give 5 stars if it worked. The other one works great on other boat.Update: Called Faria customer service and got the info I needed to get it working properly. There was a problem with how we had this one grounded. Works great now like our other Faria GPS speedometer. Great customer service. Much appreciated.

Quick install and is a great replacement for the Faria pitot speedometer that my boat cam with. It's nice seeing my true speed when below 20mph, something the pitot would never do and the range in which I spend most of my time.

Had to return the first one I bought as it didn't work. Second speedo works perfectly. Relatively easy to install. Nice to get an accurate speed reading. Can't believe new boats are still made with pilot tube speedo's....
