Difficult Book
Bought this believing the good reviews, but struggling read. I will not recommended this book to anyone.

Quick read overall
It was a little slow to start, but a quick read overall. You are left in suspense and it’s not the standard “happy ever after” ending.

A NEED FOR RESTRAINT?
Alice Darley, latest arrival in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Willowcombe. Why does neighbour Lucy Shaw instantly feel something not right...?Readers can expect much to chill as Alice starts her secret quest for weaknesses to exploit. How clever she is with seemingly innocent probing, a winning smile masking the unsettling doubts so skilfully planted. Lucy and friends are invited to the Book Club she initiates, titles carefully selected to cause those with guilty consciences to squirm. Lucy is her prime target, the Club's meetings merely stepping stones towards her ultimate deadly plan.A most intriguing plot, but does the novel deliver? For much of the way all is splendidly edgy, but some may feel the telling becomes increasingly over the top, decidedly silly in places, culminating in a climax laughably ludicrous. For actual book clubs to discuss: in this case would less have meant more, impact increased without such excesses?
