NU2UProducts- Flame Tamer-The original NU2U Flame Guard

I got for Christmas the Gonzy pizza oven, the oven can get pretty hot and the flames can burn the pizza. The tamer helps with preventing flame burning and also to even out the heat. Great product

A short story: I ordered a NU2U Roccbox flame tamer, and I received by mistake through Amazon the Dome flame Tamer. After letting the seller know that I received the wrong item, they shipped me through UPS the product I ordered without any delays. Let me also add that I live in Israel and their shipping cost must be rather high. Great customer service!Thank NU2U👍🏻About the item- it does a very good job in protecting your pizza from burnt ends near the flame. Eventually it will burn but the flame tamer saves valuable time and also disperse the heat more evenly. For me, it is Highly recommend. Cheers….

After reading all the positive reviews, I impulsively bought one. Using the flame tamer in the Gozney Roccbox is not a miracle worker. But it does give you some leeway when baking a pizza especially for beginners, such as not having to turn the pizza as fast. Since I paid for it, I use it. However, I remove it when I cook other items, such as steaks or chicken wings because it seems to give the meat a better crisp. I gave it four stars because the concept is pretty cool, but the price is not. Honestly, I think I would have been fine without it.

I have these for all of my roccbox ovens. My pizzas have improved significantly since I started using them. Same oven temp in the front, middle, and back of the oven floor after the preheat. During the preheat the front is actually hotter than the back until lowering the flame evens things out. I can't believe Gozney doesn't improve their design or sell a similar accessory! NU2 customer service is also extraordinary.

I have been able to cook outstanding pizzas with this diffuser. Roccbox should make this a part of their oven.

Works great

It actually works well to reduce the hot-spot near the flame at the rear of the Roccbox.Easier to achieve an evenly cooked pizza while still allowing spotting.Takes around 50% more time to cook the pizza which is actually better. Easy to fit.A bit pricey but well made & you get a known result.

Absolutely needed, is a big difference before and after!!

The flame tamer works, but you must rotate your pizza to prevent burning. This just slows it down in case you get distracted. ;-)

I know what you think, this is expensive for a chunk of metal, I had the same thought but now that I have it in hand, I know why it is that price and it totally worth it. The steel is thick and heavy, plus this is made in Canada, quality come with a price and I can see they haven't cheap out on the crafting and the material. It is well made, and really help to keep the pizza safe from flame.I made 10 pizza this weekend and the flame tamer kept my pizza safe, I used to have pizza with burnt spot all the time. Plus with this accessory you don't have this rush to turn you pizza, it makes the process of cooking them really easy.

It works well and as the seller indicates, also we’ll fabricated, but the price is on the extreme side.

Can't live without my roccbox but this made it even better. Keeps flame directly off pizza for a better cook. A little pricy but worth it when you get consistant results. I'd buy again.
