51 Pauses

52nd Pause
There are moments in our life where we don't think about our next moment like we usually do! The pause is an awestruck moment of the brain to stay in that state and feeling the bliss or shock of that phase. 51 Pauses by Rajesh M is the embodiment of such endeavour illuminated with frantic imagination and profound plotline. There are moments in our lives that bring us closer to our inner selves and pique our interest in things we appreciate, while also lasting long enough to become memories. They thrill us without any effort, even when they appear to be commonplace. The author has had the opportunity of experiencing and expressing these commonplace things through these musings during the past few years. They had assisted the author in finding consolation in them, in taking a break from the bustling world and occasionally enjoying a beautiful breeze. And this is the threshold of starting such a beautiful concept.Instead of using genuine events, the author chose to narrate the storey through the eyes of an 11-year-old as mentioned in the Story which successfully grabbed my attention and makes this my 52nd pause counting after the author! Perhaps the author assumed that adults would not buy a grown-up who believes in such a utopian ideal. It saddened the author that the world had devolved to the point where only 11-year-olds were supposed to believe in something so pure. This is the mindsight of the author which he orated through the mouthpiece of the characters. But what's most promising is the ending where despite staying in this cruel world he can get the essence of this novel with utmost love and that's the proof that the world is not that bad which was the optimistic note of the author at last. This is what I loved about the book ending with a sweet note.Get this book for your number of pauses going through the collection of words and letters which are thoughtful as well as circuitous in its sense.

Although, the way the book is written, it's hard to pick out favourites. The best part about the book, is that it is not a continuous story or a set of poetry, it is a collection of random things we all think or do sometimes, of things worth romanticising, but we may have missed them somehow.51 Pauses- I love the concept of naming it pauses, maybe because the author had these moments where he paused from the daily routine, had a beautiful thought or incident and then decided to make it eternal by writing it down.Written in a very simple language, yet every line having a deep meaning hiding behind, just waiting to be read by you. It has very beautiful illustrations, related to each pause and I adore it. The cover is so gorgeous, it is like a cherry on top.I had a wonderful time reading and reviewing this book, and I cannot help but recommend this to everyone who needs a pause. Pause from reading heavy books, studying, working or perhaps, for no reason, because taking a Pause is good sometimes.

For the love of conversations!
I am a big fan of long and deep conversations, especially when they are about things that we normally overlook in our busy lives. This book and its characters have the kind of conversations that I crave to have. I am not sure if everyone can relate to this book but if you are a person like me, who lives to have random deep conversations about everything under the sun, this book is for you!! Most characters in the book have distinct personalities and a voice of their own. This book will not make you cry or laugh uncontrollably but most of the times you will find yourself smiling because it will trigger a random memory that you never knew existed.

The book is the perfect complement to a nice hot cup of coffee after a long day of work, and I find myself going back to it again and again. 100% recommended.
