3 Bee Balm Gardenview Scarlet Plants in 3 Separate 4 inch containers- Daylily Nursery

These were 3 4 inch pots. The plants were very green and healthy and started to grow as soon as planted. An excellent option to start with smaller plants to test rather than investing in more expensive larger plants.

Can't say enough good about everything I have purchased from this nursery. All items are matured enough or they will wait to ship them until they are. The soil in which they arrive has time released fertilizer included. All my plants are thriving. Thanks Day Lily Nursery

I recieved three perfect plants. They were larger than expected, and have grown rapidly. The packaging was sturdy and they were delivered quickly. I can’t wait for them to bloom! These are seriously healthy plants, and a fantastic nursery to order from

Bee Balm plants are highly effective at drawing in pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. I needed to add to my existing plants as our garden grew, so I ordered these 3 plants that were to arrive healthy in separate 4 inch containers.On arrival, only one of the three looked vibrant and active. The other two were spindly, with hardly any healthy leaves and would require excessive tender care to attempt to resuscitate. This is NOT what I expected to be forced to deal with.The one good plant has been actively growing with healthy green leaves and standing tall. The next one had browning leaves and a somewhat poor ability to stand on its own stems. I spent some time using high nutrient soil mix and daily monitoring and care, and I "think" I may have salvaged it from further decline and it appears to be trying to live.Finally the third plant was in very poor shape. Browning leaves that were falling from the plant as well as stems that could not support even the few leaves on them. Like the second plant, I have been active in trying to recover this plant and it is possible I may have been successful as I see small new leaf growth at the base of the plant at soil level.This was disappointing, as I fully expected to simply have to take the plants out of the shipping container, and pot them with support without having to spend a lot of time trying to keep two of them alive.I am a very experienced and avid gardener and expect better from nurseries that focus on providing quality shipping of live plants. I rate this at THREE STARS...and that is generous due to the ONE plant that was healthy and thriving out of the three. If I can't revive the other two in the next few weeks, I would reduce this rating to two stars. I can't honestly recommend this company's Bee Balm plants at this time and advise caution if considering purchase. Caveat Emptor.UPDATE at end of Summer:I am happy to say that the two plants of the three that were in bad shape on arrival fully recovered with care and handling. In the end, all three plants are doing well and now preparing for overwintering, after which I expect very robust growth and health next Spring. Happy in the end! These arrived very well packed & appear very healthy. Can't wait to get in ground. **Pouring rain otherwise already there. :)
