This is a nice piece for the price. It is of a sturdy material. It has an attractive finish. The assembly instructions were clear. The packaging of the parts are well marked. Plan on taking your time with assembly. It will take multiple hours to completion. Ensure your frame is square before attaching to the wall and utilize the legs to help in this process. It will make all the difference in the final product. We had one issue. Note the metal frame picture for clarification. The holes were not parallel along the center length of the metal, so the holes on the wood did not line up with the holes in the wood underneath on one side. This is most likely a manufacturing error. Either the bar was flipped the wrong way when hole placement occurred, or when welded to the Y. This frustration added time to the assembly process. I wouldn't think this would be a regular occurrence. The final product is very sturdy and it appears it will last years of guest usage.I would buy one again if needed.

What I mean is: you will need time to assemble, and check order as soon as it arrives for all parts and any damage. We hired someone to assemble and install, almost every product we looked at used particle board in lu of solid wood. We are pleased with the quality, look, and hardware. the end product looks good and works well. Recommend this product. Couple other things, pre measure your space, know you need 10" mattress which is different then most. We had slight issue and it was addressed immediately.

We have had our murphy bed installed now for almost a year. It has been a wonderful addition to our extra bedroom for guests. Everyone says it is very comfortable. It helps us make more use of the room when we don't have company. The only thing was it didn't come with any written instructions, just diagrams and pictures, which were not clear at times. A few of the pieces were damaged in shipment, but we made do. Once assembled it is easy to bring down and put up. One person can do it, but two is better. I also like that it has a locking mechanism for the bottom leg that comes down to support the frame.

It’s beautify, please don’t get me wrong! However, imagine waking up in the middle of the night and getting hit by a Pierce of wood coming from above you and hearing small cracking noises at the same time.Yes, this product feels a bit dangerous to say the least. The Pre drilled hole and assembly is very weak and looked defective to me but it may as well be part of the design. It goes without saying that the material is compressed wood not wood (as described on the product info). The way the assembly holds the frame up and the fact that it’s already coming apart after a few weeks raises hugh concerns for safety. I have now contacted the seller, hoping they can replace the parts that are defective for working ones. However, Putting it together is not an easy task either. If you can imaging having to rebuild is not easy task. Fair warning, if you see something that doesn’t look right to you, save yourself the trouble and call up the company.Total build time was approx 5-6 hours.I’m sure if the provide the pieces it will be a hard job again taking it apart and re assembling it back together. This is what is making it some what stressful to think about.Update: on month has passed and the seller is still to resolve the defective part issue. Very very disappointed with this. I am now trying to get a full refund on this item.

This Murphy bed was a great purchase! We bought it for our office for when we have extra guests. It took two of us about 3-4 hours to put together and install it. We watched a YouTube video along with the paper instructions and did just fine. It fits our 10 in mattress and it’s easy to put up and down. The mattress straps could fit better but we love it!

Given the reviews I read I expected this to take a whole day to put together on my own. It ended up taking me about 5 hours while constantly being interrupted by my kids. So I could have probably done it in 3-4 hours.Having another person with you would make it faster and simpler at points, but if you are installing a hide away full sized bed - you might be on your own :) If you can easily lift ~120lbs or so and "scoot" more than that- it can be done by yourself without much trouble.Instructions are great and easy to follow. Packaging was great too. Very impressed with the product and engineering, especially for the price.

We love this Murphy bed. It works perfect in our Kaseeta. My husband and I assembled it and it wasn’t too bad if you follow the directions step-by-step. However it had a lot of missing hardware so we had to add lib on some of the assembly. It was very upsetting at the time

This was exactly what we were looking for. A No nonsense low profile Murphy bed.I was able to put it together myself over a couple of days, just needing some help to stand it upright. It's not rocket science, but there are a lot of steps.They were a couple of minor mistakes in the instructions, and a couple of places I was able to improve on it, but everything I needed was in the kit and fitted together as it should.

Purchased this bed for our second bedroom. Wanted this style so we are able to utilize the space in other ways not just as a full time bedroom. Product arrived as scheduled but came with two damaged pieces. Contacted the company and they provided us with replacement parts in about 10 days and they were easy to deal with. Replacement parts that arrived were also damaged but not as noticeable. Mostly cosmetic and not highly visible so we decided to use them. Build and install was fairly smooth but the front panels don’t really line up that well so it doesn’t look nice on the front. Overall it will work for us but expected better quality for the price. Would not purchase again.

Good looks, solid, not too hard to assemble when you read the instructions carefully.

I ordered this Murphy bed for a flex office space in our house and I loved the modern look. I specifically ordered this two weeks ahead of when I needed it and I was so disappointed that the delivery kept getting delayed. It arrived the day before we had family coming so my husband and I had to put it together last minute. It took us 7-8 hours to do. The wood pieces were extremely heavy and some pieces were very flimsy particle board. We were happy with the end result but the paint on the wood scratches off easily and the doors are not sturdy. The instructions were complicated at times and I highly recommend you have three people assemble this bed together. It was just the two of us and it was very tricky at times. We’ve only had the bed a couple days so fingers crossed it lasts a long time. For this price, it should last very long!

Not well made. Hard to fit together. Holes and fasteners don’t line up. Work ok, but is already coming apart.

Product was received damaged, revealing low quality veneer used in construction of the unit. Warehouse/shipper attempted to cover up damage by placing blank white labels over the torn areas of shipping carton. Item was returned for refund
