It's a big beautiful set of flash cards, but the cards don't have the English meanings of the characters. So you'll have to work a bit, look up the meanings and write them on the back if you want to use them to learn Chinese.

My 6 year old is in year 2 of an elementary Mandarin Immersion program and it’s been challenging to support her at home because I don’t speak or read Mandarin. These are great because they don’t have any English translation, which becomes a little too easy to fall back on. We’ve been exposed to many of the words already, so the Pinyin and image helps us hone in the meaning of the word without directly translating it; a bit more like natural language learning…and I’m catching on slowly.
