Didn't last long at ALL! Fun while it worked though...
EDIT: I had to edit this review since the helicopter no longer works. I rarely flew this thing, and MAYBE have ten flights on it, including my errant flight to the next door business. Last week I went to fly it and it wouldn't climb past about a foot. I Figured the battery wasn't charged, so I put it back on the charger, but the green light came on indicating full charge. Now, about 95% of the time it doesn't climb very high, but every now and then it seems to kick in and flies normally. I have no idea what's wrong with it, and I don't have the packaging any longer to return it. Shame, it was fun while it lasted, but it didn't last at ALL!This was my second mini RC helicopter, and while it's not nearly as stable as my little S107, it's easy to fly and lots of fun. I wouldn't recommend flying it outside unless there is ZERO wind. The second time I flew it outside, a gust of wind grabbed it and sent it over my neighbor's house! I tried to fly it back, but the fore/aft power just isn't there. It wasn't powerful enough to fly into the wind back to me, went out of range, and dropped on the roof of a neighboring business. That was 10pm. At 1pm, maintenance went up and got the helo back for me, intact, with the lights still flashing like crazy! I put a fresh charge on it, and flew it around the house, good as new. The blades are more brittle than the S107 blades, so buy some extras. It's also noisier, but what do you expect...it's alot bigger.Overall, for the price it's lots of fun. This isn't good for young kids, since if they crash it, it will be less durable and could break something due to the weight.

false advertising on Amazon.
This is the third attempt to post this as amazon keeps blocking my review. It is advertisied as a 24 inch helicopter but it is in fact 2 and a half times smaler. Not very good even in light wind. what is most dissappointing is the fact that this is the second supplier of this product and seems not to be getting it right. I am certain I will get an email from Amazon indicating that they cannot post my review for all their reasons. But seriously, research and use the right information or dont sell it on your site. your information is misleading Amazon and i have been caught with no effort on your end to correct the false advertising. That is not the service i have come to expect from organization.

Great bang for the buck and can sure take a beating!
This thing is amazing and will give you more fun than the bigger helicopters for a fraction of the cost. Not only can it sore FAST on a full charge, it is very precise. I once landed this thing on a fan blade of a fan 2 stories high. YES, it is that good. The charge lasts very long and re-charges very fast when connected via USB. Also, the blades are easy to change if you break one (which is very rare since they are made from a quality plastic). I've beaten mine up so bad and dropped it countless times, and yet it still keeps flying. I've tried other helicopters that are "comparable" but this one out-performed them all.It is a great entry to mid-level helicopter guitar that will last a long time due to the metal construction.

well that sucked
Seen them flying these at the mall perfectly, checked out the maker and then got it from amazon for 1/3 of the price..yay..cant wait...got it..charged it....it lifted off the ground and hovered perfect like they did in the mall for 10 seconds...awesome..then it started sinking..throttle is full..now its a hover craft.um ok. well im persistant,so i tried and tried to keep it in the air.I used to race rc cars and thought well maybe i need train the battery, meaning cycle it a few times.im on its 6th flight and its kinda coming around.I read another blog on here that a guy zipped tied another battery to it so it would fly,so im wondering if most of the connectors are the same or if it has to be spliced and was he able to use the same charger. Also I did crash and the support rods for the tail shaft fell out,i had to get my tiny screwdriver kit out and take the holders off to put the support rods back in.they arent in there tight and came out again in another crash.I might have to glue them if i keep this.I like the machine it self, when it is in the air it does fly good and the flashing lights are cool.just sucks that i get it and the battery is not powerful enough to fly it so I am debating on returning it or seeing if I can exchange itor get a replacement battery or a stronger battery. In the mean time im entertainging myself with my air hogs heli from walmart.it gives me longer run time, its over two years old,and has taken allot of abuse and its not as advanced as this one i just bought.maybe il just get another air hogs, havent had to use any of the replacement blades it came with either.

I know these are disposable but not this short lived
This was my first rc helicopter, as such I didn't want to buy some hugely expensive one and also didn't want to get one of those generic Airhog ones from Wal-Mart. After reading reviews I settled on this guy. For the money it appears to be well put together and impressively designed. As a midsize copter I thought It should be really sturdy, but as I found out from two coworkers who bought different brand copters at the same time, mine just didn't last as long as I hoped. After about 10 flights it now wont get off the ground. Engines are working and batteries are in good shape (I know how to treat rechargeable batteries to get the most out of them) the engine/gears sound strained from new, and after tearing into it- which was easy, could not find any stripped gears or obvious problems. A real shame it doesn't come with detailed instructions on how to rebuild. One of my coworkers got one of those cheap $15 copters that was also a disappointment but the other got a small Yiboo which has been really impressive for the amount of control you have and how its held up over the weeks. A Yiboo is my next buy-one of the small ones this time.
