arrived on time and in perfect condition.
arrived on time and in perfect condition. takes about 2 minutes to install, 5 if you take your time or forgot where you left your screwdriver haha! im very happy with it. i have not had time to compare regular alkaline vs the Ni-Mh add-on so i have no way of knowing if the other reviews that mention a power gain and longer run time are true, but this rechargeable unit works perfectly. i will admit i accidentally left the truck on after my first run. i did not realize i had left it on until the next day and the battery was totally dead. i feared that would have ruined the battery (reverse cells etc) but that was NOT the case! i charged the battery and reinstalled, went out for another rock crawling session and was HAPPILY SURPRISED that the battery seemed just fine! :-)

Perfect battery for the Danchee remote controlled rock crawler
It's a pretty simple item but it serves its purpose well. I got this as a companion to the remote controlled rock crawler also sold by the same seller as a way to cut down on battery costs. The added benefit is that, I believe this provides added power which translates to a but more speed for the rock crawler. Charge time isn't too bad. The rock crawler's instructions say not to charge more than two hours. It fits perfectly into the bottom of the truck once the AA battery tray is removed and off you go. My only suggestion is that it might be nice to buy extras to have on hand when one dies without having to buy additional chargers. A couple dollars less for just the battery would be good.

Batteries are good
The batteries are fine. The danchee trail hunter is a disappointment. I do not recommend the purchase.

Good battery, clear instructions on how to modify car.
Good batteries, they give our remote control monster truck more power.Initial charge was easy. Modifying my RC car wasn't too hard....I just followed directions. ... but I'm including some photos because of the reviews saying "it doesn't fit" .Yes, it does fit, but you have to remove the AA battery compartment first. Also, the metal contacts on the connector are wiggly, so if it won't go together you will need to make sure they are aligned properly.I will update if anything changes, but so far we are very pleased with batter performance.... it makes our RC car go much faster than just with AAs.

Works fine; Hasn't Started on Fire
This seemed like a good idea and more responsible than burning through disposable batteries. I've used it for a few months here and there, and it works. It doesn't get hot or seem like it's a fire hazard or anything. The batteries hold a charge for a long time and I don't have any reason to believe they'll suddenly stop doing so, although some degradation is likely over time. Not much else to say.

these are the recommend pack for the danchee trail hunter 1/12 scale remote ...
in fairness, i dont know if its the battery or charger. but seeing is how my new venom pro charger is telling me the batteries have reverse polarity, im going to say its the battery. these are the recommend pack for the danchee trail hunter 1/12 scale remote control rock crawler. wondering if there is an adapter or if i'll just have to sit for 200 minutes and use the slow wall charger. come to think of it, would the wall charger be safe to use? or does the charge too come with the reversed polarity? anyway, i have as well sent a message to venom to get their prospective on the matter.update. so i talked with people of danchee (redcat racing) they dont use a reversed polarity on their products. talked with the people at venom. they were equally confused. since posting my first review i have used the wall charger. and while slower than using my venom charger it works just fine. while takes a good 200 minutes to fully charge the battery, because its in a rock crawler and you're not on full throttle all the the time, i get a good 35-40 minutes per charge. now, set a clock alarm for the 200 minutes. this is a basic wall charger, not a smart charger. it'll just keep going and trying to charge your battery. wont shut itself off.

A must buy for the Danchee Trail Hunter RC.
Purchased two Danchee trail hunters for xmas, one for my 7 year old and one for myself. I was using brand new rechargeable batteries and the performance was terrible. I didn't say anything to my son, but it sucked. They could barely climb a hill, let alone go over a rock or small branch and it was like driving a toy RC. Bought these hoping the performance would be better, and holy smokes, way more power. As my son put it, these are 100 percent better now! I would have given the trail hunters probably 2-3 stars before these battery packs, now it's def 4-5 stars.
