A wonderful read all round !!!
This is a delightful book that’s full if wonderful characters and such happy memories of sweet shops gone by. It’s also the beginnings of a ‘sweet’ love story. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it certainly won’t be the last, I’ve already preordered the next book in the series and can’t wait to continue my wonderful journey into the lives of its characters. The whole book is just magical, from the setting in the gorgeous Cotswolds to the wonderfully quirky characters !!! A true gem of a book and just perfect for some lightness from the dark times we’ve been living through. If you want a really good read, then don’t hesitate to buy this book !!!

A cosy, lighthearted read!
I really enjoyed reading The Sweet Shop of Second Chances by Hannah Lynn. It is a lovely story and an easy read. The storyline is one that reminded me of a Hallmark film, and I loved that! The book follows the character of Holly Berry, who impulsively decides to buy the sweet shop that she once worked at as a teen. However, it isn’t all plain sailing, as she soon discovers that the sweet shop hasn’t been well maintained and is confronted with issue after issue. The story is about starting over, community and friendships, with only a hint of romance thrown in. The characters have been well written, and I warmed to many of them.Yes, there are a few editing errors regarding typos etc. Although they did temporarily disturb the flow of the read, the errors were few and far between. Overall I did not find them to affect my enjoyment of the book.I would recommend this book to anyone who fancies a nice and cosy, lighthearted read.

Loveliest read, but be warned, it will give you cravings for sweets!
I’m so glad that this is going to be a series as I’ve just finished (a nice 4 day read) and already preordered and looking forward to the next. If you enjoyed Hannah Lynn’s previous “Peas and Carrots” series, you’ll love this.A really lovely story with great characters in beautiful Cotswold surroundings. It also brings back nostalgia for the old village sweet shop when I was growing up. What I’d do for a quarter of rhubarb and custard right now…

I have a massive craving for sweeties now
I enjoyed this book and finished it over 3 nights. The characters are engaging except the bad guy. It was slightly predictable but sometimes it's nice to curl up with a bag of sweets and enjoy an easy read.

Wonderful!
This is a wonderfully cosy read! I love that the protagonist has some spark to her and isn't at all ditsy.I enjoyed the plot and characters. The book is well written, I really felt as though I was there in that idyllic village - and I now want to visit a traditional sweet shop!

feel good read
I thoroughly enjoyed escaping into the story. I was really feeling for Holly at every twist and turn of her adventure. And as for that awful man….I was suspicious of him from the start. Excellent read.
