RETRACTION AND APOLOGY re: Very Disapointing Experience with this device and/or Seller
My Apology and Reevaliaution...A while back I wrote a review on my disappointment with this product and the Seller. I have since changed my mind and want to explain what I have discovered. The blower does work very well, is nicely balanced and very comfortable (even kinda fun) to use. My original complaint was the short operating time of the battery. I reordered a new "official" Ryobi Battery, and it greatly expanded to the operating time of the blower. The previous batteries I used were Ryobi Look-alikes (also sold by Amazon) but are a little less expensive. I thought I was being smart by saving a few bucks. WRONG! In talking to a couple friends who also have the same kind of "bargain" batteries, they also experienced the same problems I had...shortened operating times and premature battery failure.I now will only order "official" Ryobi batteries when necessary, and want to give proper credit to the Ryobi manufacturer and the seller who sold the product to me. No problem with either. The mistake I made was not using the OEM battery with the blower. Mea Culpa!Anejo 2000 5-10-2020I have several other Ryobi Tools and like them very much, so I was very interested in purchasing this blower as well. When it arrived, I used my Extra Large capacity Ryobi 18V battery, since it was only 6 months old, and had only been used very little. It was fully charged. I put it in the device and started blowing pine needles off my deck. It worked great and sounded quite powerful... but suddenly stopped blowing after only 2 minutes! I changed the battery to another Ryobi battery. It worked for about 30 seconds before stopping. I was pretty certain both batteries were fully charged, so I put the first battery back on the Ryobi Smart Charger. The larger Capacity battery immediately showed "Defective" and would not take a charge. That was curious, since the battery was relatively new and had been used very little, but I suppose that kind of "sudden death" of Lithium batteries could have been possible. So I plugged in my other battery into the Charger. It started charging, so I let it charge slowly overnight...although the Charger is capable of charging in 30 minutes. The next day I tried the blower again with the fully charged battery. Voila! The blower worked! But it suddenly shut down after only 4 minutes of use. This is not the kind of service I expect from Ryobi 18V tools!I sent a note to Amazon about my desire to return this suspicious product. I got back an "Authorization to Return" within just a few minutes. However the Return Address was to a place called "First Floor Laundermat" in Philadelphia. That was rather suspicious,, so I looked up the address on Google Earth. It was indeed a Laundermat in a part of Philadelphia that didn't look like a neighborhood I would even want to drive through.I don't believe this was the original Seller.I do not trust this Return.Hello Amazon...are you listening?JHNew Bern, NC

Hard to go wrong with ONE+
I have been a big fan of Ryobi tools and their ONE+ tools for a long time. Having used them for construction work and never having one fail and only one of them, their hammer drill I bought when they were first offered years ago, finally wear out on me I was more than a little interested in the leaf blower.Absolutely LOVE it. No, it isn't going to dislodge paving stones or roll bricks over like a good corded leaf blower but just how many times do you really need to roll bricks over?Snap a fully charged battery in and go to work in ANY place, ANY time, with complete freedom of movement. The variable speed trigger, that can not pinch your finger unless you are mentally challenged and pointing it up trying to proactively blow the leaves out of the trees, gives you the ability to blow those annoying leaves out of your mulched flowerbeds without sending half the mulch into the yard is worth it alone. The ole lady nagging you about sweeping the carport or patio? Pfffth! Done! Why stop there?! Drag it into the house and blow everything into a corner THEN grab the 'Foreign particulate accumulator v1.0' and finish the job!I suspect that if you let the leaves pile up and get wet you would be wasting your time but with as quick and painlessly as this system allows you to grab and go there is really no excuse for the leaves to get piled up on ya.Great product from a great product line that I own probably 3/4 of their entire lineup of and all of them are rugged well thought out tools. Even if you are not a Handyman type of guy interested in their other tools this is worth having. If you own a deck, have a sidewalk, carport, or any other place you like to keep neat and clean BUY this now.Bonus!!! Blow the water off your car in seconds for that spot free shine. No, unfortunately I was not given any sort of recompense or discount for this review. Paid full price and I am not disappointed in it in the least.

Meets Our Expectations
We purchased the Ryobi P2108A and I have used it through two battery chargings. My feedback is as follows. We purchased the ANTRobut 5.0Ah 18V Replacement Battery and Ryobi P118 Lithium Ion Dual Chemistry Battery Charger as the blower did not include these. The battery seems to take about three hours to recharge after the initial charging and use. The blower has a variable speed control so you can control the amount of air flow therefore only using as much power as it takes to move the debris. We are using it predominantly to blow leaves from our gravel driveway and walkways. As the speed is variable I would estimate that I only need to press the trigger about 40% to blow the leaf debris without blowing away the small crushed stones, which average ½” x ¾” in size. My estimate of the use time per charge is 30 minutes. We’re only using it to clear our gravel and paved drives and walks. We don’t use it for the lawn as that’s what a rake is for. I was apprehensive as to its ability meet our needs, but after today I am very happy with its performance, weight (not tiring at all to use), and charge/run time. Again, we are using it to blow dried leaves from gravel walkways and driveways, not lawns. Run time per charge is acceptable and overall we really like this blower.

Nice lightweight blower!
May 2020I love this! My husband owns two sets of Ryobi cordless tools so he recommended that I get a Ryobi blower so I could use his batteries. Made sense to me! I have MS, weakness, pain and fatigue and this is perfect... Very light and easy to use. I use it to blow off our patio furniture on the decks, to sweep off the sidewalk out to our shop, blow leaves and dirt out of the rocks in our landscaping. You name it, it works for me!Update a year later May 2021I love this blower!!! aA year later and it still running strong and time to get another one for our home away from home! It’s so powerful yet light weight, the best cordless tool I have ever owned! ( I think it’s my favorite!)** update 2022!!!**I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THIS RYOBI BLOWER!!! 2 years older now and works like it’s brand new! I use this thing at least once a day if not more. Love, love, love it!!!!!!!

Good blowing power for handheld, battery life about 20+minutes, with small battery.
Good blowing power for a handheld battery model. Blows any light stuff, with range of about two-to-four-plus feet. Longer range on smooth or concrete driveways. Will NOT blow anything wet, or anything sticky. Very handy for us, blowing pine-cones, leaves, dry stuff, off our concrete driveway, or out of our garage floor. NEEDS heavy-duty battery, otherwise life is only about twenty+minutes, and then small battery craps out.
