Reliable and Efficient Power Supply for Budget Builds
Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)2years back when purchased the Cooler Master MWE550 V2 80 Plus Bronze Power Device (550W) for my budget gaming PC build, and I've been quite satisfied with its performance and value.Performance:The MWE550 V2 is a dependable power supply unit that delivers stable and consistent power to my system. Rated at 550W, it provides ample power for my mid-range components, including a dedicated graphics card. My system has been running smoothly without any noticeable voltage fluctuations or power-related issues. It's a workhorse that handles both gaming and productivity tasks without breaking a sweat.Build Quality:Cooler Master has done a commendable job in terms of build quality. The unit feels robust, and the cables are neatly organized, making installation a breeze. The included cables are of adequate length and come with enough connectors for standard setups. Cable management is made easier with the included cable ties.Noise Level:One aspect where the MWE550 V2 shines is its noise level. It operates quietly, and the fan only spins up when the load demands it. Even under load, the noise is minimal and doesn't disrupt my gaming or work sessions. This is a great plus for those who value a silent PC environment.Price:The MWE550 V2's price point is one of its strongest selling points. It's an affordable power supply that doesn't compromise on quality or reliability. It's an excellent choice for budget-conscious builders who want a power supply that gets the job done without emptying their wallets. Conclusion:In summary, the Cooler Master MWE550 V2 80 Plus Bronze Power Device (550W) is a solid choice for budget builds. It delivers reliable performance, energy efficiency, and quiet operation at an attractive price point. While it may not have the bells and whistles of higher-end power supplies, it's a practical and dependable option for those looking to build a cost-effective PC without sacrificing quality. I would recommend it to anyone seeking a no-nonsense power supply unit for their budget-friendly rig.

great price for a 750W gold PSU
This has been well reviewed and recommended by Tom's hardware and at the £77 I paid for it in late 2022 was a great PSU at a great price. I see now that it's well over £100 thanks to what looks suspiciously like price gouging - I don't buy "inflation" - inflation is not 50%. At that price you are starting to get into the realms of a Bequiet Pure Power 12 which is probably a better PSU.Doesn't have a million cables and you may well end up using all of them but if you don't have any SATA devices it saves you some cabling. I bought 2 of these last year for gaming computers for my niece and nephew and both are still going strong and their computers are on all day every day - beyond that i can't say much other than so far it's working well and is nice and quiet.

This is not plug and play - you will have to replace all cables
Needed to replace my power supply and this device looked a good bet. It may well have been. But I didn't really want to have to re-cable all the SATA connections (my rig has a lot!). Unfortunately the SATA power connector sockets are a different design/layout to PSUs I have previously had and to my existing one. The pins on this Cooler Master are in a single row. Fortunately, Amazon accepted the return and refund. So, OK if you are going to re-cable everything using the PSU supplied cables. But if you just want to swap out your existing PSU, check that the SATA connections are similar.
