Easy to Use, Great Value, and (Important for a Leftie) Doesn't Smear
I bought a box of these several months ago and only recently started using them in earnest, but I love them. The way the pen forces you to write practically makes you an automatic calligrapher. I get so many compliments on my "calligraphy skills" when I write anything with these.

Wow Amazon! What an amazing product for those of us who love brush lettering! This pen is so prettily made with a touch of sparkle. The best part is the smoothness and line control when writing. Great for student learners for PRACTICE, not for actual work.
It’s a cheap pen with a cheap brush. It’s great if you want something cheap to practice your calligraphy skills (like Japanese or Korean writing), but not for professional work. This is a practice pen due to the weak and cheap brush. Hard to control. If you want actual quality, pay $2 per pen for a Japan-made 筆ペンfudepen.

Good but not perfect
The tip seems a bit rigid to me to write Hirakana. It is hard to control fine end strokes. But with this unbeatable price for 12 pens, you can not go wrong.

Intermediate Not Beginners
I teach Calligraphy to Middle School and High School students. I wanted to purchase Calligraphy pens that were affordable and long-lasting in bulk for my students, which is why I chose the Amazon Basics Calligraphy Brush Pens in Black. We have tested these Amazon Basics Calligraphy Brush Pens in Black for 10 days. A couple of them are already frayed on the tip, which is disappointing.I will be updating this review about the remaining pens that came in the 12-pack as time passes and to see if they stood the test of time. I like purchasing items that have the "Amazon Basics" label because they are tested and usually prove to be a superior product.

Tienen un color café oscuro muy feo. Se secan rapido y la punta no es muy buena. La verdad me decepcionaron mucho.
