A good USB-C charger but at an inflated price
This is a solidly made charger that has worked well for me in the last six weeks. I use it to recharge a 15 inch 2016 MacBook Pro. I know it is underpowered for this computer but it seems to work fine for light duty use and mostly for recharging when the computer is asleep. The charger seems never to get too hot. It is very small, easy to pack, and easy to squeeze into closely spaced outlets. The reason for 4 stars is the pricing for USB-C users. The company charges $35 for the USB-C cable. This strikes me a price gouging for what you get. They may make extra money now but it will not generate the kind of good will the company will need when they have more competition. By the way, Amazon has the list price as $99 which is wrong. The actual list is $79 for the PC version with the nine proprietary tips (8 of which are headed for the trash--maybe all 9 if you read some of the reviews) and $99 for the USB-C version with its single tip built to an industry standard. Unfortunately, Amazon has a long term practice of showing inflated "list" prices to mislead people into thinking they are getting some special deal. That practice is unworthy of an otherwise fine company.Update 2-14-2018:I broke my USB-C cable last summer (my fault I guess) and ordered a replacement. I still have not received a replacement and the manufacturer site shows they are backordered for another 18 weeks. Hard to believe that something like this would take so long.June 23, 2018Since the cable is not available, any claims of compatibility with the open USB-C standard made by this company are patently FALSE. One star.

Customer service team is either non-existent or terrible -- WASTE OF MONEY
The FAQs and other info on this page made me think this would work for my laptop. It does not. According to the manufacturer's website, it WOULD work with my laptop if only I had the "P connector." The P connector is not one of the 9 that ships with the product, and -- here is the reason for my one-star review -- multiple attempts to contact the manufacturer have failed. They DO NOT EVEN RESPOND to inquiries submitted by their online form; and there is no other way given to contact them. (If anyone has a customer service number for FINsix, I would greatly appreciate it.)Unless I can get hold of the elusive p-connector, this was a complete waste of money. Their customer service team is either non-existent or terrible.UPDATE: Even if you really want this laptop charger to work, return it asap. DO NOT WAIT to give the non-existing support extra time to respond to your trouble tickets because (1) they never will, and (2) there's a short return window. Don't be dumb like me. :(

Awesome
I love this thing. I wish I would have purchased it via Kickstarter. It is small, gets warm but not hot, and charges my laptop which is embarrassingly over the specified requirements of this device. I paid way to much for it but I don't regret my purchase. I travel 5 days a week and this device has lightened my gear load. While I don’t condone using this for laptops that require more watts I can confirm it does work. For Dell folks that see a performance hit when using this - find a piece of freeware called Throttlestop. It unchecks a flag internally that Dell uses to slow down hardware when it sees a non Dell charger. Uncheck the entry bd_prot something and watch your laptop speed right up.

The Best Charger I Have Ever Owned
I absolutely love this charger!I own a older Lenovo T450 laptop and this charger works great with it. I also use it with my Pixel XL phone and it charges quickly. While not as fast as the OEM charger that came with the phone it is darn good.I have used the charger on airplanes, coffee shops, home and at the office and so far never had any problems. My favorite feature is actually the amber light by the usb plug. If you have ever sat in cattle class on an airplane and tried to use under seat power you know that there are a number of things that can go wrong.a) The outlet just doesn't workb) The socket is loose and the plug falls out.c) The person sitting next to you steps on your cord and pulls it out when trying to get out to go to the bathroom.d) You knock the cord out yourself. The easy to see amber light, close to the actual plug lets you quickly diagnose when power is not flowing especially in tight situations like an airplane.Great job FINsix, you have made my life easier!

Subtly incompatible with Dell Laptops, short return period
Doesn't work, can't return. It powers the laptop, I didn't notice until return period was over that it doesn't charge the battery. On my Dell XPS 13, I get the "plugged in, not charging" error. The battery does not charge and you have to run off of AC. The XPS13 is listed (incorrectly) as a supported device. Have fun on the airplane with no battery!

Very Light Power Cord and In-Line USB Plug
Very light compared to my original Lenovo charger. Love the ability to charge via the in-line USB charging plug. I haven’t noticed any overheating after 8 hours of continuous use. I did notice that with consistent power that my battery indicator will show “plugged in but not charging”, but then noticed that it had started charging again when the battery dropped to 89%. Seems to be intentional with constant power, because in shorter use, it does charge to 100%.I really like this charger.
