Be Careful this is a Quality Product
Purchased heat gun after burglary in my garage. Before purchase I researched and could have bought more cost effective (CHEAP) heat guns. Wagner is a very good business with a very good name and reputation. That made my decision very easy was their reputation. Once the product arrived I unboxed the heat gun and was very happy with the build quality. It is light and very easy to gold and use. I learned the hard way not to turn it all the up. This thing warms up quick and hot. Having control of the temperature is one of the best things. It use to be low/or wide open. If you're looking for a hear fun this one is the one. For me it has done everything from cold shrink to solder. The solder was just to see if it would, not all the time.

Excellent quality and durability
Used it for 5hrs already to remove chrome kick plate on my truck and it worked great. Easy to adjust the temperature and fan speed. Quality case and accessories. 100% worth the money!

Easy to use with Multiple settings
This unit has multiple settings, very well constructed, over sized power cord to allow for fast heating and multiple tips for varied applications. This unit comes in a very professional black plastic case that seems to be durably constructed. There buttons on the unit are very responsive and self-explanatory. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a high-temperature heating gun.

Great Heat Gun for the price.
HT4500 has great air flow and heat production. In fact to my surprise, both the air flow and heat seems slightly stronger than the Makita HG6530VK which is a very good heat gun. What the Makita has over the HT4500 is quietness and better ergonomic design. The HT4500 can get quite loud. The gun seems produce a high pitch ring in addition to the loud motor. And in certain speed settings the noise Will pulsate like a vibrato. Personally I wish it was quieter but I can live with it.The one thing i didn't like was the grip. It felt way too sticky. Shortly after initial use the grip started forming a gummy residue that looked like sticky snot. Attempts to clean it off was pointless. Rubbing the grip just produced more sticky goo.So far the replacement has been fine. But if the handle gets gooey and sticky again I'll probably either tape over the grip or just cut it out completely. If i had to pick one between the wagner and makita I'd choose the Wagner HT4500. The makita is an excellent heat gun but its a no brainer. Yes the HT4500 is lot noisier (makita is incredibly quiet) but the heat from the wagner feels a little more intense and it has stronger air flow. To tell you the truth though i couldn't tell the difference but the results from an anemometer kept showing the HT4500 to have faster air speeds. Lastly the Wagner has two things the Makita doesn't... 5 speeds and it's about $80 cheaper.

Quiet. Durable. High Powered. Works Great!
Wow. This works great. Quiet and easy to handle. This is the first time I have used one of these types of heat guns. I love the digital screen. Quality seems great. The attachments are nice. Bonus is the quality and durable case.

used twice with great success
Like the carrying case, digital temperature readout, and that it's relatively quiet. Used it to remove some high strength adhesive from PWC seats. Ran it @ 800 degrees for 45 minutes 2 different times and it worked great. Seems like a solid build, so unless it develops an electrical issue, I bet it lasts several years.

Just what I wanted
I love the versatility of this. You can adjust the heat through a wide range of temperatures in small increments, but you can also adjust the fan speed independently of the heat setting. Super intuitive controls & display. This is a great tool.
