Not as comfortable as I'd like...
This needs to be read in the context of a man who has wielded a chainsaw maybe 5 times in his life and upon declaring to his wife he intends to use a chainsaw has been ordered to buy 'all the safety equipment'. Therefore I am not perhaps qualified enough to review these gloves as I have worn zero others as a reference point.I don't find them as comfortable as I'd like in that they are not made of calves leather but are instead designed to stop me losing fingers or perhaps a hand and so maybe this is what 'protection' is meant to feel like. The size might play into this as the pair I have are very snug and perhaps need to be slightly bigger. They will likely get more supple as time goes on but for now I'll see.I couldn't speak to their effectiveness as I haven't been on the wrong end of a kickback or desire to touch a moving blade.

They don't last long.
When I received my gloves first impressions were good.Unfortunately they started to wear out quickly on the fingers.

Not very protective around the wrist area
Very comfortable, a bit posh, however, has minimum protection around the wrist area

Good strong gloves.
Very happy with these. They fit well and become more comfortable after wearing for a while. Not tried the chainsaw protection yet, but its only a matter of time.

Just unlucky?
I’ve waited a while since purchase, so I could assess the product. These must be the third, if not the fourth pair of gloves, suitable for chainsaw and general garden rough work, I’ve bought over, say, the last 3 years, all of different types, based on their advertised capabilities, and every one has lasted a noticeably short period of time, before being holed. This particular pair lasted approximately 3 months. Presumably this is ‘the norm’ these days.
